There's probably a good twenty things I could think of to go in this entry, considering how talkative I've been lately. Let's see how many I remember!
Well, I got my Christmas tree. Days ago. :p A real one again, and Dusky is happy as usual. Though I haven't caught her climbing this one, it might be because the branches are smaller and closer spaced. Either that, or I haven't caught her at it.
Final Fantasy 12 squee continues. So, I believe the last time I actually shared squee I was operating under the delusion that they would actually get out of the sewers without getting caught. HA. Though the sewers were fun, especially when we were ambushed by flan. Dessert from above, ahhhh!
Of course I thought they would be harmless. They're flan. They are always harmless.
Except not. I suspect this is going to be a pattern, formerly harmless things rising up to kick my butt. :P Panicked for all of a second until I accidentally stumbled on the solution - flambe the suckers. And the victory dance! Only they were more poses, but still. :D
Firemane, now, that was a boss. You can tell it's a boss because you're sure you're going to die. o.o
Then what I didn't expect. Surely we were going to make it out! And Vaan would join the rebellion and learn how to pilot a ship, and eventually take down the Death Star and - oh wait, wrong story. :P We're going to jail! Or, a really crappy dungeon. Because a proper dungeon would be built for the purpose and not contain exits out of antiquity. That was rather creepy and made me think of the city you find using Edgar's castle. Buried in tunnels in the dark...
I note that no one seems concerned about the Princess.
And that the Captain is not only alive, but has a twin brother! TWINS! (Excuse me while I dissolve into squee, and restrain myself from giving in to the urge to call them Edgar and Sabin, which they really really aren't but is my first thought regardless.)
My second thought is, 'Ohhh. This is why he saved the kid only to end up killing him. It wasn't the same guy.'
I love Balthier for his reaction. *loves on the smooth thiefy-type* And Fran is cool. Fran is so cool. I say this because I am crushing on her voice, and also because of the general pragmatism. Because you know the boys would have kept arguing about it until we had to fight the guards. And then letting the little thief slide (if you talk to random people for info, and if you aren't, what do you think you're doing!? :p ).
And then they all split up? Nooo, I wanted to keep the shinies. Now all I have is Vaan, who is such a kid. Granted, as soon as I go looking for what's happened to Penelo I'm sure I'll find more trouble. I have this suspicion it will involve going into the Sandsea and pleading with Balthier for help, which would be fun. XD But first I'm leveling Vaan, because I didn't realize how long and dangerous those dungeons would be.
And now it's past time I need to be getting ready. *sigh* I have the next two days off, though. First time since I started Wal-mart that I've gotten both Christmas Eve and Day, and I mean to enjoy it.
