odds and ends

wah! my kitty! my sweet little lovey baby kitty! and she's gonna be a mommy! auuuggghhh!!!!

seriously, this is too many cats; this will be the fourth generation of these cats that have lived in our yard. i am so getting Little One fixed as soon as i have the money. even if kittens are horribly preciously cuute.

and i had the wierdest dream last night. i can't remember all of it, but i know i was in Slytherin House. i remember i was doing something... i don't know if it was outright illegal or just bad enough to get me detentions, but i was up to something.

and then i was heading to the Slytherin table for supper and Harry stopped me. and i freaked, because it was Harry bloody Potter and ALL the teachers were now going to be paying attention and i had the (whatever it was/bad thing) on me and now i was gonna get caught. i remember that very clearly, standing there with my heart pounding and thinking 'how do i get rid of Potter?'

i can't remember how! i think i said something awful though. he turned away and went back to the Gyrffindor table and he looked like he was about to cry. i mean, some of the Slytherins cheered and Professor Snape looked awfully smug.

What Did I Say To Him?!

after that it got really fuzzy again... i remember thinking that Draco and Millicent and Blaise were up to something and i ought to find out what (too much sphogwarts?) and then Voldemort invaded the school. came right into Hogwarts, into the great hall with a bunch of Dementors. and Draco saved the day!

it was funny, in a distant sort of way, all the students crowding over to the Slytherin table and Draco comes to the front and summons this huge silver dragon Patronus (cassandra claire, i'm sure) and it's driving off the Dementors...

and that's where it horribly wrong. (aside from the whole Draco selflessly saving us all bit) because i'm pretty sure a Patronus is not supposed to affect physical objects that way. certainly not to the extent of wrecking the Great Hall, so that we all had to flee amid falling rubble and clouds of dust. lol! although the clouds of dust were very useful for hiding us all from Voldemort.

i think he's got Hogwarts now, though. i wonder if we ever tried to get it back...

trying to learn how to write stories when i'd been writing everything as poetry is very frustrating. and seems to have thrown me off on the poetry as well. i have to keep telling myself just to keep working on it, and eventually i get it back, but it's still kind of scary. i had gotten used to just reaching out and the words were there, damnit!

now i reach out and they're like ants who've have thier little scent line drawn across. 'ooh noooo! where do i go?! do i go here or there or maybe go to Australia? help!'

grr. it doesn't help that i keep having attacks of irrational goofiness either. maybe i should try to write something funny?

oh: you know you're playing too much Crono Cross when:

it occurs to you that this game is like the movie Groundhog Day. only, instead of getting that day right so it will stop, you're getting the day right so it will keep repeating.

and think it would be funny to maybe write a fic of that from Serge's pov, wherein he has funny reactions and tries stupid things because he knows it's all going to start over again anyway.
