Continuing! In spite of much of the crampy discomfort that makes you want to resign from being female for awhile. x.x

The Tombs of Raithwall
Valley of the Dead

Oh, no, they did not stick another Demon Wall right after the first one. Evil! ...sadly, inefficient evil, because the second isn't nearly as hard as the first. :P

***

Can I just strangle Vossler? Because even if I'm wrong about him, the guy is still annoying as heck.

On the other hand, it is interesting that Ashe can sense the Dawn Shard in the Tomb. Useful, that!

***

Okay, the Chimera? Are just... creepy. Really. You turn a corner and find a cockatrice-type looking at you with a human face? o.o Very pleased my characters default gambits include 'if it moves, kill it'. >:p

***

Wheee, map! (That I missed when I first came in that room.) ...oh man, and I thought I'd gotten somewhere. *flail*

***

Oh, Mist. So this is what it looks like - oil sheen. A shifting curtain of oil sheen hanging in the air. And dangerous, and yay Fran talking more! ...talking to Penelo. Fran/Penelo yay! :)

Mind must get out of the gutter off of romantic possibilities and back to the tomb-robbing. (In which it doesn't hurt that Fran's hair is white, either. Damned egocentric muse. XD )

***

Or an Aurora Borealis, now that I'm moving in it... and are those shapes struggling to form in this stuff? omg, creepy. Wheeee! :D

***
An Esper! My very first one! And that was some Tomb Guardian, too. o.o And Balthier is so ...short-sighted, sometimes. XD But then, I'll bet he isn't planning on helping Ashe with her war, per se. 'Ditching them as soon as shinies are in my possession' is probably more like it.

(And now, now we have a case of the Bakurae laughing their heads off. Because they have stolen the King's Esper, his Ka they are insisting, and this is just the coolest and most amusing thing ever. XD XD XD )

***

Ooooh, wow. That was beautiful, and sad. She saw her dead husband, and told him he would be avenged - and I don't think she had the other ring before she touched him. I also think the only other people to see him were Vaan and Vossler. Damn. That was just... damn.

(Ryou waxing romantic on me. Sentimental thing, he is. *hearts* )

***

I knew it I knew it I knew it!!!! Bastard traitorous son of a backstabbing. Bastard!!!

Yet, I'm pleased that I called it. ^^;;;

"Oh, I'm the loyal one. I'll just vanish at opportune moments when the people I'm supposed to be protecting are in life-threatening danger." (Twice!)
"I don't trust Basch because he's a traitor!"
"I'll just show up behind you when I shouldn't have any idea where you are!"
"I'll just insist you need the Dawn Shard without providing any rational course of action after that, shall I? Right then!"

Bastard's probably been undermining Ashe's resistance for years. >:/

Oh I wish there was some way to stop that. Barring which I hope Ashe gets his head on a platter. Because if that bastard did see the Prince, and still didn't say anything?! grrrrrrrrrrrr Though I must admit I'm now thinking my first thought is more likely, and the shriveled remains of his conscience were clawing at him.

Yes, this is me on a 'traitor must die! Die!!!' kick. Ignore the hovering specter of torture, please. ;p

End Part I, as I break for attempted writing and lunch. And due to the fact that I accidentally skipped a scene. x.x At least I saved right before it?

Edit will be added once I return to the game! @.@

ETA! :D No, really. Something of a timelapse there. And I suppose I'm supposed to feel sorry for Vossler? But I'm still pissed, so. I can't imagine a much more appropriate death, though.

For Dalmasca, my ass. For not believing. For not understanding it is better to die in pursuit of freedom than live in bondage. Little son of a *seethes* And the bastard wouldn't have done anything to the people of Dalmasca if you hadn't put him in the position of being able to use that against her!

...now, what the heck was that which came out of the Dawn Shard?

And, can I just say that Ashe's expression when she realized the Dawn Shard was not blown up? Wonderful XD

But Fran. omg. That was rather scary. Does that happen every time there's too much Mist around?! (rhetorical question!) ...in a related note, Balthier is such a smartass. "I always knew she didn't like to be tied up." = "This is why I never get to play bondage games."

...she could always tie him up, though. Just sayin'. >.>

Truly impressive explosion though. An entire fleet reduced to so much dust, and ghosts in the air. >:D

And good lord, Arcadia is a spider's nest isn't it? Noooo, Vayne!!! :(
Nooo, Larsa being disillusioned about his brother!! ;_;
...dude, stop trying to wreck the Emperor's family! I see you, Mr. Let's pit them against each other until I get the throne! *peers at Council!*

What was that thing with Ashe and Vaan? Is her dead ex-husband trying to fix them up?! *flail* Not even context in that scene, seriously!

I love Vaan.

Ashe: "I shall take this Dawn Shard and lay waste the Imperial Army!" (in short. Actually it was a shortish but impassioned speech)

Vaan: "Do you even know how to use it?"

Ashe: "Ummmm."

And what, two minutes later?

Balthier: *demands to be bribed to help out! takes most precious ring from Ashe!*

Vaan: "Not in so many words, but ...that was wrong. Do you know that?"

Balthier: "I know what I'm doing with my life. Do you know what you're doing with your life?"

Vaan: "Ummmm..."

Penelo: *helpless frustrated roll of the eyes as she passes him* XD poor Penelo. She knows he's hopeless.

Ooof. Back to prepping for a long journey. And of course the first Mark I go after is tough, not to mention its attendant monsters are just as bad. Stupid albino Flan.
