First off, I have barely been getting any math studying in. Not happy with myself, there. Anyone who might see me online during my weekend, kick me, make sure I am doing this? ^^;
So, then there's the fun with the water, which now has an orangish film developing over it. (ewwwww) I have been told this is a hard water problem, and we need more salt in. I have seen these bags of salt, and will be getting someone in the store to do the incredibly heavy lifting for me. >.>
The power went out today, due to which I hardly got any sleep. First I couldn't fall asleep until I opened the window to listen to the lovely rain ...which was of course responsible for the loss of power. Then I woke up at some undetermined point and couldn't get back to sleep because I was baking in the heat, and lay there kind of tossing and turning until the power finally came on - bringing with it blessed air conditioning! At which point I kind of just drifted back off in relief.
Strange dreams the past couple of days, too. The other day it was 'college' which somehow looked more like a cross between a museum and a mall, and was full of crowds of chatty interesting people who never seemed to go to classes. :P For some reason,
shusu was there with me, and everything's humming along fine until A Big Test. And I can't find her, oh noes! She's going to miss it! I'm going to miss it looking for her! Dooom.
Somehow the test turns out to be more people chatting, only sitting in chairs while ignoring a slideshow the teacher is giving us (either that, or I skipped over it, yay dream-logic) and I'm asking people where my friend went, and finally someone knows - there is a huge pond/aquarium/waterfall thing, and she was watching a snake shed its skin. Next thing, I'm out there looking for her, and spot the snake first.
Which is not only shedding its skin, it's changing species as it does so. Started out as a rattler of some kind, I arrived in time to see the rattle sinking? And ended up a freaking huge coral snake. I mean anaconda-size. I don't believe corals get that big. >.> and then there was conversation to the effect of that being damn cool, and how did it do that and how should I know?
Today: A lot more muddled than the above, which really fairly lucid. This one was all cramped corridors and the soft morning sort of light. There was a kid and a some kind of magical animal that I didn't like because it wasn't listening to me, and we were supposed to be working together to protect the kid, here. Very very important, child was a reincarnation of someone dangerous. And I told them to go on ahead and I was going to check behind us to see if they were catching up, while not being entirely sure who 'they' were. Somehow I found this book, and thought it was important, and then saw something dark coming out of the sky while the light changes to a sort of sunset reddish. Well clearly this is 'they' and I yell at the animal and the kid to move now and try to get back into the house to join them only to be cut off by... the weirdest dogs. Just, they were clearly dogs but the proportions were off and their tails were oddly bushy - not a long plume sort, but just bushing out at the end and it was weird. I remember thinking, Set's dog, the one that's never been identified as a real species. At which point I started to feel strange, thought out of nowhere that I mustn't let go of the book, and started talking to the person accompanying the dogs... some kind of priest. I don't remember what we were talking about, but it turned out that whoever assigned us to protect the kid had the wrong person. I'm standing here talking to this guy, and feeling someone else waking up behind my eyes, and knowing that I had completely screwed up even leaving the house and we're all fucked now. >.>
And surely there was a touch of YGO in that? But just as easily any of my Egyptian reading, and what the heck - I didn't even find out who I was. I wanted to know, darnit! :P
