This was my brain for the last two hours of work last night:

Voice #1: You do not need the variety pack of ink pens.

Voice #2: But I want them!

Voice #1: But you do not need them! You need to save money, not spend it!

Voice #2: *wobbly eyes* *scabbles for points to validate argument* But-but- there are 30 pens! And it's only 8 dollars! So it's a good deal, usually it's like 5 or 6 for 5 dollars! And it's a variety, and the colors look pretty, and and I WANT THEM, DARN IT!

Despite the marshalling of fairly impressive logic by Voice #2 (which usually just whines 'I want it') Voice #1 still won.

I am both proud of this result and disappointed.

Maybe on my next paycheck? If they're still there?

Was it the sparkly pens? Medium point, assorted colors, able to write on regular or dark paper, actually pearly and glittery ones?
