An update! Which hopefully I will do more frequently and they will just be regular journal entries.

So, I did not end up going to the station I'd originally been going to, because frankly of mental health issues and management higher up the chain being dragged into it, and. A lot of ugliness I don't really want to dwell on.

Things are going pretty good right now - slightly worried about my hours possibly going down at work, I am fine with them where they're at right now and would like to get the credit card paid off. Otherwise the (new) new place is working out alright.

I also learned the new guy who basically took my spot at the Lakeshore station cannot seem to show up on time and is pissing everyone off. It may be wrong of me to hope he ends up being moved (and I'm not entirely sure how that would work in a unionized setting, I really need to learn more about this stuff) but I am hoping so anyway. Opening at a post office... there is no backup, things just get backed up. In Lakeshore's case, by an entire hour while the trucks wait and the next station they need to drop off at is also waiting, etc. He seemed a nice enough guy, but dammit.

Also, that everyone misses me (which I'd already heard but is nice to hear again) and even the truck drivers have been asking where I am, on account of the above. (Or also possibly because some of them like me and know I'm a good worker, which is something I seem to have trouble believing? Sigh.) But definitely also the above, because nobody wants to sit in a truck for a damn hour waiting for someone with keys to show up.

Meanwhile, starting to get some interest in art and writing again, and playing regular video games instead of just the cellphone ones - I'd kind of forgotten somehow the satisfaction of actually finishing a story? ^^; In as much as Kingdom Hearts is ever finished, daaaamit Nomura. XD (Never change. Just, cough up some damn answers while. Also. Not changing. Yus.)

Looking forward the remake of FF12 that comes out in a few days, working on Let's Go and after those I really need to get Breath of the Wild. And that big FF that I missed, with the boys on a road trip. I remember looking at the gameplay and thinking it was so cool, literal years ago.

I am so, so tired of wasting time and being upset and hating myself. I slept in half the day today, knowing I'll be going to a station that I don't know except from one day there, knowing this means at my station we'll have one person, alone and hurting from doing freaking three peoples' worth of work.

I finally dragged myself to the shower and then out of the house and found out that weather-wise, I'd wasted a perfect day, unexpectedly chilly and a bit cloudy and just. Perfect, to me, for walking outside, and I missed it being inside and upset, with the situation and with myself.

I got my shower curtain changed, at least, and now I have that double-curtain thing where the outside one will stay pretty. Have not gotten any writing done, about to eat a late dinner and try to do that.

So it turns out you can watch theater mode in KH3 without having finished the game, each cutscene as you've seen it. :o

Must not spend all my time rewatching villain apperances )

And we continue!

After I spent entirely too much time waiting to buy a wireless controller, only to discover when I got home that the controller I already have is, in fact, wireless. x.x So that'll be returned tomorrow.

Hello Purim Gifter,

Thank you so much for writing for me, and I hope you enjoy the time spent making the gifts.

I like worldbuilding, slice of life and missing moments, and happy endings where possible. I love found families and frenemies also!

I don't like mpreg, non-con, anything toilet related? This has never been an exchange where I'm really worried about dislikes coming up.

Further details within )

Hello Chocolatier!

Thanks so much for writing for me, and know that whatever you write I will enjoy it. :)

In general, my likes are world building, alternate realities of all sorts, found families and frenemies. Mysteries, adventures and slice of life are all welcome! I also like dubious consent of the being seduced variety, especially between villains.

Dislikes: Mpreg, watersports, explicit sex, non-con.

Dear Yuletide Author,

Hello, and thank you in advance for writing for me. I hope you have a wonderful time with it, and look forward to reading whatever you choose to write. I know some writers like the minimum of information and some like more, so I'll start with the basic likes and dislikes, and put more information under the cut.

Likes: Frenemies, mysteries and adventures, slice of life fic, alternate realities of all sorts, world building. I also definitely like dubious consent of a seductive variety, like... 'come to the dark side, we have cookies' and the person kind of wanting to but also wanting to be convinced?

Dislikes: Mpreg, watersports, explicit sex, non-con.

Hello, Trick or Treater Writer!

I hope you're as excited as I am for this wonderful exchange! I'm looking forward to whatever you write, and hope you enjoy the writing (or drawing) as much as I will the reading. Have fun, and don't scare yourself - too much! :D

So, general likes: Everything from character or world building, to adventure and suspense, to just fluffy funtimes. I love missing scenes and introspection, alternate universes of all stripes, caper fic... I'm not sure I requested anything that would fall under that last, but I've been re-reading some lately.

Dislikes: Are the same pretty much every year for every exchange ever, please no: explicit sex, rape, gore, child abuse of any variety, or anything bathroom related. Dubious consent is okay in some fandoms - see especially the trick side of Kingdom Hearts.

And on to the fandoms! Some of these are bigger than others, but that just means they're easier to articulate - I will be equally happy with any of these fandoms. <3 unwrap the tiny candies )

Dear Fic-Cornerer,

Many apologies for this coming so late - I hope the lack of information wasn't too frustrating, and hasn't interfered with your enjoyment of the writing.

I think I covered my basic wants and interests in my requests, but I know I hadn't mentioned any DNWs, which are as follows: no watersports, bsdm, mpreg or pregnancy generally. Other than that, I can't really think of anything?

Likes are world-building and exploring, and happy endings. <3

Thank you, and have fun writing! I hope it's as much fun for you to write as it will be for me to read. <3

Hello Chocolatier!

I am so sorry it took this long for me to write this. If there's anything you have questions about in terms of dislikes, I think I've covered those pretty well in the signup, and in past letters for other exchanges.

Some expansion on my general likes: I like worldbuilding, whether it's expanding on the canon or taking it in a different direction. I like character introspection, and fluffy stories and dark ones. I like stories with character growth, and redemption that comes from that growth rather than just the other characters forgiving them.

Kingdom Hearts: I love this story, and its original characters. I love Kairi, and the tangled mess of her and Namine and Xion, and the shit these poor kids get put through. I love the Twilight Town kids and their adventures, and the eerie way that they seem to feel a connection to and friendship with Sora that their ghost in the machine counterparts formed with Roxas.

Original work: This can be looked up in Discord but eeeeee! I just. Love the idea of Giant Spider adopting Runaway. Whut r hooman, how to care and feeding?! This could be so adorable as they form friendships and get to know each other! :D Also I love spiders so. <333

The Last Unicorn: So, in Two Hearts we learn that Molly and Schmendrick have been having Fantastic Adventures (and if you did not know he wrote a sequel, he did and it is heartbreakingly beautiful and also heartbreaking). Tell me about their adventures! Tell me about the Unicorn and if they see her again. ...give me a different ending for Lir and Amalthea?

Crossover Fandom: Also known as 'Will Stanton needs friends dammit'. Look, I don't care if he is an immortal being with powers beyond mortal understanding, he is also my precious baby and needs all the friends. And adventures! Possibly also people to talk to.

So. Rivers of London: He lives in the bloody Thames valley! He'd have to know about the Rivers, and I assume class them as 'Wild Magic'. But how would they class him? What would be think of Nightingale and Peter? And what would they think of him?

Princess Mononoke: I just had this image in my head of Will walking in the woods and time slipping in that way it has with Old Ones, and possibly place as well - this certainly doesn't look like an English forest does it?

Kingdom Hearts: All the adventures for all the kids! If you want to include the rest of the DiR kids that would be awesome, especially if this somehow results in Bran, Jane, Barney and Simon getting their memories back. But mostly I'd love the Twilight Town kids to meet a wizard, who is not Yen Sid, and who presumably wouldn't think that everyone has to stay put on their own world.

I mean, he did watch Arthur and Merriman etc sail away into the stars. >.>
