I am sorry again about the placeholder, and here is something much better than apologies: a letter!

In general, I like worldbuilding and happy endings (where possible), slice of life and missing moments. I love alternate universes!

DNWs are: Incest, graphic sex,A/B/O and a lot of other things I just don't think will come up in this exchange?

Fandom specifics:

Dark is Rising is a fantastic series and the ending didn't happen is all. I love Jane Drew, and the Greenwitch, and Tethys. Tell me a story about Jane and her connection with the Lady, or how she interacts with a world that definitely still has magic in it as she grows - the Old Ones and the Dark left, the Wild Magic is most certainly still there. Also I love the implication in the very existence of the Lost Land and its people, that the Wild Magic is a part of humans too.

Babylon 5 Ivanova! :D I love her so much, tell me a story about her - possibly in some alternate universe where the thing with Talia didn't happen - or where they find a way to fix it somehow. :(

Alternately, Delenn and the whole thing with her people and their reaction to her choices. And what happens after? Once she's reformed the Gray Council with a sane ratio of builders to religion and warfare, how does that even work? What does she think as she sees her people begin the changes that she helped set in motion?

Kingdom Hearts Ahhh my girls! My poor girls that this series does not do enough for. Please tell me about Kairi getting to go on adventures with her boys, or what it was like in the days before the fall of Radiant Garden when bloody amnesiac Xehanort decided experimenting on a Princess of Heart was a swell idea. Bastard.

And speaking of evil viziers, what the hell is it with every iteration of this creep going after every iteration of Kairi. Experimenting on Kairi, trying to use Namine as a pawn against Sora, trying to freaking Nort Xion! (If you are not familiar with KH and reading this bit, basically possession by Xehanort with a specific endgoal in mind.)

Give me Namine taking a different road, building a life of her own and actually using her incredibly dangerous powers for something. Or Xion surviving or getting rescued! Really just give me Xion getting icecream with her boys again.

Alternately, I also adore Olette and would love a story of her getting off-world and taking a larger role in things.

Gravity Falls MABEL. Ahem. I am quite fond of Mabel? :D I would love any story about future Pines family shenanigans, especially where Mabel's silliness (and/or Grunkle Stan's criminal deviousness) get them out of problems that Dipper and Ford's intelligence can't. Especially adventures with her girls would be awesome, they could be a wierdness fighting team and Dipper could be their dorky sidekick. Or something, idk.

Hello, and thanks for writing for me! I am looking forward to whatever you write, and hope you enjoy writing it.

What I'd like, no matter which characters you choose, is world-building. How does settling in to the colony tree effect the relationship between Chime and Moon and Jade, as time goes on. It's mentioned in one of the short stories that Jade has never been interested in male warriors - is Chime an exception, or not? Might they have been interested in each other before, and would his change alter that? What does Moon think of any of this, aside from 'Raksura are wierd'. ...does he, in fact, ever stop thinking that, and adjust to the things about his own nature that would feel right now that he is with his own people?

What was Malachite and Dusk's courtship like? Was their colony a more traditional one, being so old? Or was it less so, since they'd left their first colony for a new one?

How did the half-Fell queen's father manage to survive long enough to teach his children anything? Did he adapt to Fell politics, or ignore them? And how did (and do) his children feel about the differences between themselves and their pure Fell relatives?

What is it even like for Moon and Jade's clutch, to have parents like that? And Malachite and Pearl as grandmothers? Nevermind Stone! What kind of stories do they grow up hearing about the old colony, and given the friendship between Moon and Delin, do they get to know more about groundlings than is usual for Raksura?

I am pretty sure I covered most of what I wanted in the prompts, since I know I've gotten terrible at writing my Dear Author letters? But there's always Yuletide letters to look through, and general fannish stalking if you'd like. ^^;;

Day 1

In your own space, post a rec for at least three fanworks that you have created. This wasn't so easy, because it is hard to praise myself and because I spend so much time being down about that I forget why I'm proud of things pretty quickly. Which makes this a good exercise for me!

Fandom: Kingdom Hearts

A lot of my fannish life was spent in a wonderful community of weekly challenges on LJ that's been dead for a few years now - a theme would be set, we'd write usually drabbles to that theme, and then vote for the winner - whose prize was to set the next theme! It was fun and kept me actively writing, or at least trying to. So most of the things I really like are for this fandom, though I will do one for another.

Beneath This was for the challenge 'Starting Out' and was a fun little stab at expressing how I felt the main villain of the series feels about his chief henchman (which is a status I took seriously even back when a lot of people didn't, or so it felt at the time). Idk, I think Braig/Xigbar and Xehanort are both fascinating assholes who will absolutely screw each other over, but that at least in the beginning Xehanort felt like Braig was a more innocent darkness.

Now I'm feeling like I should maybe explore that more...


Three of Wands Mwahahaha, I made the three good fairies in Sleeping Beauty the villains! I cannot tell you how much unholy glee I still feel about this. XD >:D I just. I love this! I love the idea of this upside down world where Flora and Fauna and most especially Merryweather are out to fuck up the world and Sora just does not know how to feel about these nice old ladies who are trying to ruin everything, whyyy?!

Someday I will write the companion piece I've always meant to, wherein Maleficent is the kind hermit lady who's been raising Aurora in the woods.

Fandom: Ronin Warriors/Samurai Troopers

And okay, thinking about it now is making me want to cry, because I have so many notes and things, and had so much writing it and feeling these characters I love come alive for me in a way that's different, somehow, than anything else I've written for this series. I'd never written anything where I didn't feel like I could live up to the scope of it the way I feel about this.
