have calmed down somewhat about the stupid (censored) driver's license, as it's just something i'm going to have to deal with. (censored censored censored)
have been trying to work on the Chrono Cross and Trigger mess of attempts at fic. and discovered something... maybe i'd rather not have known?
i thought when Norris got in, that he was a little odd. furries are a minor squick for me, and him and his "What? What's wrong with me and Lynx?" yikes. (hides)
but i had no idea, until i finally sat down and started to try and work a plot out of that mess, what was really going on. here i never thought i'd write anything for CT, even though i had wanted to. and:
CT 1: Magus gets a premontion that Glenn is going to somehow lead to his downfall, and decides to deal with it early. by pretty much apprenticing him. and it just goes from there, with Chrono and company showing up, and somehow Toma Levine is involved, though he won't cough up what exactly beyound being some sort of lightening influence on Magus and Glenn once they'd conquered the world. (which they do)
CT 2: Chrono, Marle and Lucca stay in the future, having not found out about Lavos, and are there when the thing leaves; this one's not as solid, but it's something about the effects of trying to change things a little too late, the portals being slightly off, etc.
CC 1: There's some sort of empathic/slightly telepathis link between Serge and Lynx, right from the beginning. and then Glenn, seeing the events in the Dragonian Fort, tries to help by shattering the Dragon Tear. before the transfer is complete. so they're stuck, kind of halfway in each other's minds. and there are all sorts of interesting little bits in here, like Glenn actually being affected by the Masamune. (i mean, they just go on about how EVIL it is, and yet none of your own characters are ever affected-perhaps Serge is some sort of instant ward against it?)
and i swear, half the charaters in the game want a piece of this or want to be mentioned. i let Van in-Van. boy, i did not say you could drag Korcha in with you. but apparently, Korcha is his boyfriend. unfortunately (because it makes it difficult to kick him back out) i can see this. Homeworld Van and Another's Korcha, at least, are both mercenary little suckers. Orlha wants her twin sister back, or at least mentioned (not that i blame her) and she's also angling for something with Irenes (?!) ouch my head...
CC 2:Norris's baby. this is where i found ot exactly what was 'wrong' with Norris.
he's freaking Magus reincarnate is what! literally, and the only reason he's ever a Yellow Element and not a Black is, according to him, Luccia is a mad scientist akin to Hojo! she was experimenting with altering people's innate Elements, something to do with Porre's military. thhis is a constant for every bit he's thrown at me; the only variation is the degree to which her experiment worked.
in this one, it didn't work at all. instead, something about the experiment woke up memories of being Magus, and some of his old power, and he blew the lab up and headed down to El Nido, where he could sense his old henchman. getting there, he finds that it's been at war for centuries, and he learns about the Frozen Flame, gets involved with FATE because he hopes to use it get his power restored, and to hunt down Glenn.
yikes. O.o okay... so, reincarnations of CT characters into CC as far as i know now.
Magus-Norris.
Glenn-Glenn. (he thinks it's amusing that he got named after himself)
Cyrus-Karsh. (i don't know why)
i know Levine is in there somewhere; i just haven't found him yet.
