Well. I did mostly everything I wanted to do, so. I feel stupidly depressed anyway, partly from lack of sleep. The lack of food problem is solved, though.

I got my hair cut. Shoulder length. This is part of the plan to get it to grow out longer, or at least look nice, but. I don't really like it this short. :/

And! I started Final Fantasy: Dissidia, although I had to stop almost immediately to recharge the PSP. ...I don't know what I think yet. It looks so shiny, but the gameplay is so different from the things I'm used to. Tomorrow I'll have a better chance to get a feel for it.

It has been waaay too long since my last update, yes? Yes. >>

Pokemon is still eating my brain. Cut to spare those who perhaps do not want to read Pokemon squee )

I never did get my copy of Final Fantasy Dissidia, and had to contact Amazon about it when the seller pretty much ignored me. x.x Yesterday, though, I went to Game Stop after the zoo and got a copy, so! As soon as I get a few other things done, and I tear myself away from Pokemon (or get them to an easy leveling spot - yes, there is level grinding in Pokemon, and the Gyms are sort-of dungeons) I'll be starting that. There may be another update later on!

Oh, the zoo. The zoo was wonderful as usual. I took a few pictures, I may upload if any of them turned out alright. We have penguins now! They seemed really curious. A few of them were doing nothing but swimming near the glass staring at the people. The most interesting thing, however, was the monkey that got loose while I was on the train.

Yep. Escaped monkey. XD It looked like it was having fun! They had to shut down the apes exhibit and the train, and nobody got to see those by the time I left. They were still trying to catch it.

I should be working on my vacation squee, except I want to take more time with that. So it might resemble something interesting.

Or it might still be babbling sparkly eyes. ;p

Meanwhile, I wake up horribly late! But still remembered tell-a-friend Friday: New SGA people! Shiiiny. Full of hot guys and girls, and McKay. I'm not sure what McKay is. But he's hot! And smarter than you! (At least intellectually speaking, let's not get into emotional maturity or we'll be there all day.)

Dammit I miss Ronon. And knives! Ronon brings the knives, yup. >:)

And because I have no decently shiny links, go forth and poke shusu! For she brings the shiny! :D

Okay, still kind of wrung out. And pms-ing in the snarly, bite-your-head-off way. My own included.

I can't find the cd of pictures from South Carolina, either. snarl

Got some things done, though. Laundry, taking out the trash, clearing up the stupid lock on my account and the one bill paid.

...ordered a stuffed Anubis from Chicago, since I was foolish and didn't grab him while I was there.

Looking at silly, blurry pictures of snow made me smile, though.

Hi I'm Home!

I ate raw fish! It would be better without the seaweed.

Also tiramisu is the food of the gods. Seriously. *.*

Also I am a slightly incoherent lump. My head is full of delicious dessert and actual snow that I saw, finally. <3

<3 <3
spoke: spider with a pen on a book (pain)
Have been feeling wrung out the past couple of days. Only yesterday, at work, noticed that oh - it's that time of month.
I have a headache. Should get aspirin.

*growly*
Work-ranting )

Also at work: I'm not the only one with a cracked driver side mirror. Current theory is that our buggy boys are idiots. My opinion? They should be made to pay to replace every mirror they've damaged.

Lesse. I have poked at writing occasionally? Still neglecting the former NaNo horribly. But having a lot of fun dungeon crawling in FF12, even though I am horribly outclassed in most of these places. And when do I get ahold of the holy element?! Half the things I've run into are weak against it, there is a clear need for some blessed firepower here! But nooo, all I've got are your regular old elements.

And thinking about going to the museum again. After spending almost half a day in the musuem in San Francisco without realizing it, and subsequent museum visits here? I just really really like museums. They're relaxing. I don't know why, but they are. Clearly, I should visit them more often! I have to visit the Cummer at least one more time before my vacation anyway, the Temples and Tombs exhibit ends on the 18th. They can't take my lion, I wanna keep it! *plots theft of antiquities*
*is not at all listening to a muse who is deeply encouraging of this thought*

...seriously, why do they not have little lions for sale in the gift shop? Morons.

So, goals for this weekend: Watch some Troopers! Because I am craving, darnit.
Play more FF12. Much more. :)
Also try to do writing. Since my main goal right is not to let various stresses flatten me into a pancake. And if it starts to get stressy in such a way that I can't write? *annoying buzzer noise*
Call Mom and let her know what my vacation days are.
Call the sis and talk at her. And maybe get advice on how to install this stupid mirror.
Work out the plans of vacation! Because that needs to be done as early as possible, instead of at the last minute.
Icons! Icons darnit! No getting the lj account updated and made shiny until there are icons.
Make the bloody YGO squee entry for which I have already made an icon!
spoke: spider with a pen on a book (the joys of caffiene *.*)
Well. I went to upload my vacation photos and only got halfway through before hitting the upload limit.

I didn't even know there was one.

But about one half of my vacation photos are up! Watch as I wander aimlessly, ignoring the marked trails! *noob to this National Park stuff*

I am slightly annoyed, because the idea was to have all the pictures arranged in chronological order. I was even uploading them one by one and in reverse order to be sure of it! And then it stopped me. -.- But once it lets me upload more, I'll still be doing that! I am too compulsive not to make sure it's all neatly arranged in the 'right' order. (As arbitrarily decided by whatever glitch in my brain insists I need to do it that way. :PPP brain.)

Meanwhile Naruto and Avatar have combined to rot my brain. *flails over Sakura and Ino and also Zuko, ahhhh!*

...now I shall randomly type things up before being forced to leave for work. @.@

Chain of Memories? Killing me. I like spoiler cuts, so there! )

Meanwhile I am still lagging and trying to fight my way out of bad habits. But, I'm doing better than I had been before the vacation. I fixed my vacumm cleaner(the same week I got home, I think), I've been cooking. It is good. Except for the bit where game = eating brain.

The first 10 people to comment on this post get to request a drabble (real drabble: 100 words exactly) from you. In return, they have to post this in their journal and write a drabble for you. Post all fandoms you're willing to write for. (This is optional; you don't HAVE to do it in return, but it would be pretty spiffy if you did.)

Your friends can pick a relationship, a story arc, a missing scene, or pretty much anything they want, unless the author has previously mentioned that they will not write it. They comment with what they want, and you write drabbles and post it in your LiveJournal.

Erm.. *thinks* Ronin Warriors, Coldfire Trilogy, Battle B-daman, Sherlock Holmes, The Once and Future King, Don't Bite The Sun... probably others I could think of if I weren't getting a little fuzzy here. Yay emotional rollercoasters.

The aggravating thing about even trying to talk about my vacation was I knew I'd forget at least half the little happy-making moments. But here's a big one I forgot: First day, I ate lunch in a seafood resturant! A nice one right out on the pier, and the people helped me with not knowing how to eat the food - you're not supposed to eat soybeans like they were green beans, apparently. Which explained the aggravating fibrousness and how they were hard to swallow. >.> Also I had... darnit I can't remember the name? They were little fried octopi, for an appetizer.

They were creepy. Fried like that, they look like spiders. o.o;; And you know, I made myself eat them, and they did taste kind of nice? But every single one - *gingerly picks up*
*stares at*
*tries not to imagine it moving*
*eyesclosedgulp!* alternately *i'mnotlookingatwhatiputinmymouthgulp!*

The salmon was much nicer because it didn't look like small creepy evil things. ^^;; Hence I was actually able to enjoy it - I could not tell there was fish! Just this meat with a really nice texture and the spices were maybe a little too hot for me. Or maybe I wasn't supposed to eat that green stuff at the bottom of the pan... But they brought it out still smoking in its own little pan and in case you didn't realize this was a higher class of place than I'm used to eating at. :P But so cool! ^_^

Some pictures in here, resized so hopefully they won't give anyone a problem? I'm going to upload some larger versions later on. ^_^ Mouse-overs for the pictures!

San Francisco/Yosemite Vacation )
spoke: spider with a pen on a book (a moment of understanding)
So here I am, after having been up for almost two hours, waiting for Dad to come help me with the garage door. Which worked when I left for Starbucks, being in desperate need of strong coffee and also because I like Starbucks in spite of other concerns. :P

It is a measure of the good my trip did me that I'm only a little nervous/upset about this. And not, you know, crying or anything. Also that I went and got my brother's help, and we spoke quite politely to each other and everything.

Now I'm trying to figure out if there's any way to get these pictures off my camera without erasing them, and where did I put the software disc for this sucker, anyway? O.o Because I have to show my sister these pictures.

I have every intention of calling in to work tonight, having slept all of last night in spite of myself. *sings* ~I'm calling in to work, and I don't care!~ Actually I do, and I will be getting one of my own supervisors, since our overlords managers are notoriously bad about actually delivering the message that yes, you did call in, no, you are not a completely irresponsible no-show who left everyone high and dry.

Sometime tonight I will try and give an account of my vacation, but right now I have unpacking to finish and vast amounts of laundry to continue with.

^____^

I had every intention of making a rambly and intelligent entry on the many thoughts I have been having while slowly getting ready for the trip.

Instead I went driving and got slightly lost again and you get to see that. Also I still have no cellphone. >.>;;

But there is always tomorrow! And insane running around! And maybe being more with it when I wake up, because right now spelling is this attention-consuming challegne. challenge.

where is the q button again?

Success!

Heather Alexander - Wooden Toy Sword

The perfect song for Frog's flashback/angsting scenes before going after Magus. Not the annoying parts where you bring him things and he whines that he's not the Hero. ( No, really, capitalized even.)

That would be Flogging Molly - Worse Day Since Yesterday. >:P

This one is for the actually touching stuff, for Glenn before he decided we could all just call him Frog ( &^%$) and for Cyrus. Especially in light of the sub-quest later on.

Finding this has totally distracted me from the rest of the soundtrack. ^.^;;;

Oh, and I have bought luggage! :D I'm not even sure I need five pieces of luggage for this trip. But it was a set! And since I aim to go on more trips, I will need them eventually, so. Now I have luggage. Joy? @.@

Well, I have tickets and a hotel.

Expect right now I am feeling incredibly stupid for waiting this long, which of course caused prices to go up. >.<

On the other hand, I managed to get around the obstacles that kept popping up with ordering said tickets, mostly due to making sure all my debit/credot card info matched.

I am attempting to fight off the nausea by reminding myself of what someone at work said (cliche alert!!), namely that I can't take it with me.

I'm just hoping I'll feel better once I wake up. And/or my paycheck gets deposited. Whichever comes first.
