Somehow I feel this makes me sound more intelligent than I am. I liked the one for Spoke better.

It's just much less stressful, when she starts telling me how Jonathan was running toward her crying with his hands over one eye and blood coming down his arm, to hear her speaking in past-tense and relatively calmly.

What I would like to be able to figure out is why her two youngest are the daredevils? This sort of thing just doesn't happen with Michelle and Nathaniel - I never hear how they almost killed themselves or something. I mean, they have accidents, but it's not because they were, say, playing with strange animals or doing things Mommie said not to.
