spokeHello, and welcome to 'Must squee, I can't contain myself!' or 'Why didn't I watch this in the first place?!'
So, so - bad enough when stupid Master Quan goes and gives Dojo to Chase Young, and Dojo says 'Chase Young? Master-of-evil, make-your-lower-lip-quiver Chase Young?'
But. When he shows up at the next fight, and and Jack. And XD JACK!
Puts on a Shen Gong Wu and his legs go extra incredibly long and he tilts over and Chase catches him! And Jack, with the eyes slowly getting bigger and then they are stars, shining twirling golden stars and the swooning and he offers him the Shen Gong Wu! Ahahaha!
Chase: *smug but pleased* I do have a certain reputation.
This is so cool. :D
Wuya getting angry about the Shen Gong Wu and Jack objecting - "Chase Young is my all time hero! He's an evildoer's evildoer!"
So they try to talk to Dojo, who apparently ...can't leave because he's been traded? O.o; Really, I think he just likes all the food he's been given, he's really really heavy all of a sudden. >>;
Then Omi attempts to fight Chase, who is standing there drinking soup. And totally deflecting all of Omi's attacks. While drinking soup. XD Joy!! The look on Omi's face!
And then he leaves. After refusing Jack's offer of teaming up. << Apparently, he only came to see the monks he'd heard so much about. -.- Dojo really ought to learn to keep his mouth shut.
Wuya: Jack, you pathetic little groupie! If I had a stomach, I'd hurl!
Jack: ^_^;; Heee-hee-heehehe (Swear that's what it sounded like)
Meanwhile, the Xiaolin track down Master Quan and learn he is a moron. No, really. He once fought Chase Young, and got his butt kicked and his spear was taken in the fight? And apparently his spear is... well, he couldn't fight anymore.
But then Chase offered him a chance to get it back! :o
In exchange for Dojo, yadda yadda oh and guess what? Chase was once good, but went to the dark side in exchange for a potion that will keep him young forever - and guess what one of the ingredients is?
Cut to Dojo happily sitting in a boiling pot, still eating. *headdesk*
Dojo: Oh, you're gonna make me soup?
Chase: *I will not laugh outloud* In a manner of speaking... *pulls open the curtain with jars with pictures of dragons on them. Manymanyjars*
Oh wow. They got there and got to Dojo, who now has an apple stuck in his mouth, and then Jack - when'd he get there?! - pushes the button to shut the last door behind them, and Chase. Um. There's this transformation scene which kinda eww although I have seen worse, and he's like a crocodile person? All that eating dragons, I guess.
Jack: *jaw dropping, during* "Wow. You're even more hideous than Wuya! I love it!" :D
XD You should hear his voice, with the almost-breaking and the deeply embedded squee.
Okay, so that was cool. The shape shifting is his true form, without benefit of the potion - and Dojo makes a crack about this and then sticks the apple back in his mouth. snerk.
And then Master Quan shows up, and I could really kick him. Because Chase was just taunting them "I trust you will join me in a bowl of soup" only he used the name... I must get the name, I have a feeling there's a joke there. >>
Anyway, Quan to the rescue because he must redeem his butt, and they have a showdown. In Dojo's words 'A plain old showdown, without any Shen Gong Wu? We haven't had one of those in a long time." *apple* XD
Terms : Quan wins, they all go free including Dojo. Chase wins, Quan must swear to serve him eternally and gets turned into a cat like the other warriors who have fallen to him in battle.
Jack does some inappropriately timed squeeing that includes the words 'cutting edge' and is all *.* and then takes Dojo's apple because he got glared at.
Me: *.* cats. kitty-cats. cats who contain the spirits of his defeated enemies omg squee XD
Of course Quan won, because he had to - he gave Omi a major squee moment by quoting his quote from Master Fung during the battle. Then the cats were going to pack up on them and Chase let them leave. Because, you know. "I accepted thier challenge - and lost." << And he bowed. From the waist. "I trust we will meet again." In this tight, angry voice but still. Total 'I will not throw a hissy because I lost, because that would be undignified.'
Omi looked like he'd bitten into something rotten, there.
*checks* Yep, still squeeing.
So Quan has given Omi that spear of his, and it's over until, yesterday's episode. Chase was watching Omi during the latest hunt, no Showdown but..
Chase: *while petting a tiger - which is more disturbing given knowing what that tiger is* Young Omi is a skilled warrior. It's a pity he's wasting his talents fighting against the forces of evil.
So, after some interluding with Jack, who is still in a State of Fanboy and trying to get Chase to let him hang out. ^^ We cut to Kimiko. Kimiko has been having a moment. By all rights, this episode should have been more focusing on her? Except we've got to deal with in one episode - Kim's mistake with breaking the Mosaic Scales, and learning that one mistake is not the end of the freaking world, and as part of that the rescuing Clay. Jack's still fanboy-ing Chase and forming a temporary alliance with Clay due to that - he didn't know Clay was possessed. And Chase has set his sights on Omi...
There's a line in here, the thing that possess Clay is a trickster demon and he does something to one of the others before they leave? Jack noting that Clay has become 'Such a freak! *pause* I love it!' and the laughing ^^
Eventually they split up to look for Clay? And Chase makes his move. Or I should, opening ploy? Omi in the middle of a grassy field, and begins to look around, yelling 'Clay! Claaaay!' turns and looks up and *gasps! assumes battle stance* Chase Young!
And he asks what he's doing here, and Chase assures him that he has nothing to fear, because there isn't anything at stake. 'At the moment' with a pat on the head. XD Omi tries to ask what he's doing here, and Chase tells him that it won't be long until the Monarch Wings reveal themselves << and "It will be your task to defeat Sabini (closest I can come to what they're saying).
Omi boggles at the fact that he knows about Sabini while Chase tosses him the extra staff he brought along. They start fighting while Chase is telling him how to beat the thing out of Clay. << Which, you know, is pretty much 'beat the thing out of him'?
Chase: 'Fight him until he can't fight anymore.'
Same difference!
But, all the while they are fighting, and then Omi - "Your skills are most impressive. It is unfortunate you are on the wrong side."
Chase: *pleased/amused* "I was just thinking the same thing about you." However - just because we are on opposite sides does not mean I cannot teach you.
And he catches Omi. Hanging by his belt on the end of Chase's staff. With a most embarrassed giggle. (Someone will pay for putting me in the frame of mind to think bad things there. You know who you are.) And then he throws him and as Omi thuds down, "It is not the strongest opponent who wins, but the strongest willed. "
Omi charging him with the monkey strike, and Chase; "Repulse the Monkey!"
And once again, Omi is picking himself up.
Chase: "When fighting an opponent with superior strength, you must use his own strength against him!"
Omi : "Why are you teaching me your tricks?"
Chase: *pious* "Teaching is the only true path to learning."
And then the others show up, and Chase does the Mysterious Vanishing bit. Omi actually gets question marks! ??? ^^ Cute!
Then Sabini/Clay handily kicks thier butts for a while, turns on Jack, and is in turn beat down - it's the actual bug-looking monster that Kimiko challenges to a Showdown, almost loses to, and refuses to give up, challenging her element through the Star Hanabi to seal the Mosaic Scales shut again. :D
Chase appearing at the waterfalls the Showdown took place in as Rai and Kimiko carrying Clay off... Actually, he is standing on a plume of water. ^^ "You did well, Omi."
Omi: *tiny bow* Thank you so much for your assistance. Have you given up evil for good?
*stifles scream in order to continue typing*
Chase: "Things aren't always that simple."
Omi: "Then.. why did you want to get rid of Sabini?" ...at least you can tell the hamster has not fallen off the wheel completely?
Chase: "Let's just say... I did one small thing for you. Perhaps one day, you can return the favor."
Omi: >:( ...
And Chase vanishes again, and Dojo and the others show up, and Dojo asks if he is okay? "I am ...most uncertain. But I hope so."

Also, Shusu - it was both. First Kokuenoh, then Kenbukyo - appeared as a shivery black shadow, then leapt out of the fountain trailing water and light, becoming solid as the water was shed. ^^
