Nov. 5th, 2003 07:51 pm*runs about for no apparent reason but that she can*
Lookit, i'm alive! And, I love Alka-Seltzer! :D
Still have a tiny lingering bit of cold, but mostly? It's gone! I guess I was taking the wrong sort of medicene before? ^^;
But I when I woke up, I could breathe again! Did not spend forever hacking like I belonged in the hospital! << Now I am happily sharing too much information? ^^; Who cares?! *bounces*
And I went and visited my sister. From here to Middleburg is an incredibly long drive. But I had to go, she needed money for a new alternator for her car. And I brought some cheap breakfast pastry-things I picked up at work, the kind of stuff you know is more artificial sugar than pastry? << But they're tasty and it was a treat for the kids! ^^;; *is guilty Aunty*
... *considers that she showed up with Halloween candy and breakfast and money to help out the Mommy so that she can drive again* On second thought, I am Super Aunty! *imagines cheesy heroic music*
There was much cuteness and hugs. Jonathan has taken to pretending to be shy, because it gets him more attention. He's a little ham, that one. They were telling me all about the grasshoppers and how Nathaniel can catch lizards : 'But we don't squash them, nooo.' And showing off thier guinea pig. It's a strange little guinea pig, too, it's afraid of carrots. <<;; Seriously, they showed me. Laid a carrot on top of its cage, it started squeaking bloody murder and tried to hide away from the carrot. O.o I have never seen such, and we had a few guineas ourselves when we were little.
Oh, and another excellent example of baby-babble: Patricia was telling me about the mystery of the 'hoppies'.
For a few days, the boys were telling her there were 'hoppies' inside the house. She asked them did they mean grasshoppers, and they responded in that patented offended-child tone, 'Noooo, hoppies!'
Turns out, that line of translation runs thusly:
Bumblebee/honeybee
Hunny-bee
Hummbee
Hoppy. <<;;;
Only, they weren't honeybees. They were flies. >.< Apparently, a 'honeybee' or 'hoppy'is any small flying insect. XD XD XD
And, for my birthday, I got 20 dollars. ^^;; Which, given that Dad nearly forgot my birthday and was incredibly apologetic about it, and hid it inside a very beautiful sparkly card, was okay. I was glad a member of my family actually remembered. <<;;; The only other people who did were online! Which made me very happy, by the way. ^_^
But only today did I feel up to going anywhere to get my birthday present with this $20. << .... Kingdom Hearts! $19.99! Whoo-hoo! :D *grabs*
*runs home and.... crashes because by then it was 10:30 because she stayed up too late visiting*
*wonders at this time why she is online when possessed of brand new game to play*
*remembers NaNo writing she needs to do*
