Jul. 18th, 2007 05:23 amWell. Still no other papers, and I'm not sure if Dad never got my message about needing them or not.
Of course I'm writing now, when I'm having what has become a nightly occurance of 'omg! I have got nothing done!'. Even though my main goals have all been met except for the cleaning necessary prior to taking the trash out.
I think it's mostly not having been able to do anything about getting this financial aid application done, but still. I'm about to throw myself into cleaning in the hopes that it will help the reproach and panic. >:/
I'm constantly finding myself not in the mood to talk, or when I am, not to talk about anything serious? So I'm sorry if I have missed talking to anyone (shusu, lacey) who might need me.
The day so far: Finished with the Gormenghast novels! So, once I'm done with my cleaning, I will try to get myself into the car and maybe even take those pictures that I meant to - I never have the energy after dealing with college-stuff, and the heat is so awful. x.x Also, stress means I'm more likely to box myself in and feel awful about it.
So I got myself out of the house! Like I will be again in a few days, yes, but I needed it anyway. We have an evil manager of old covering for one of ours while he's on vacation, and the evil bitch takes joy in making things worse. I keep hearing her mutter under her breath about my 'attitude' but it's not like she can actually call me down for politely pointing out the truth. >:)
...okay, so that's a detour I did not intend to make. Anyway! I had a nice trip to the mall, where I bought this lovely necklace of the Hogwarts crest, and a Neville tshirt, and a silly wand-shaped pen. Which I have totally played with for the joy of being a dork. :D More money than I meant to spend (x.x) but I have been doing much better about controlling my spending, so. It evens out? ^^; Anyway I had a nice time talking to the cashier there, mostly because when he saw me checking the sizes on the shirts, he asked if it was for the movie or the book.
I also went to this candy shop in the mall that I have passed... for all the years of my life? Every time I have ever gone in this mall, I have passed the shop and thought about getting candy, yet not done so. They had strange mints there! Which were okay but I wasn't really impressed? But I also had a nice conversation with that cashier, about my eye surgery and whether it was scary or not, and how one goes about paying for such a thing when there's no money.
This is more talking than I have done with total strangers in forever, so. Go me!
And on to the movie, which I enjoyed just as much as the first time - maybe a little more, since some things that got overshadowed the first time stuck with me a bit better.
