(no subject)
Nov. 4th, 2008 07:52 amI am home from the voting!
As soon as I got off work, which is 7 am, and already there was a tiny line. Not very bad though, only about 15 minutes? Lucky me. And everyone else getting out there early. :)
No problems at my polling location, just smiling poll workers - who were a bit surprised at how many young people came out to vote.
An Obama campaign sticker on the car next to mine.
Making my way out of the parking lot, I saw a mom with her just-voted sticker leading her two little ones by the hands.

ETA: Just got a phone call from my Dad. You know what's awesome? When you're talking about politics, and the subject of the Florida marriage amendment comes up - and Dad actually asks, essentially, whether I'm gay or not.
And I am bi, and tell him so - and he is cool with that. ^__^
This is the only member of my family I've ever talked to about this, and it's just. I'm a little surprised at how happy and relaxed it's made me. But only a little.
The world is a beautiful place right now, everybody.
