spokeChain of Memories? Killing me. Because gah. Hollow Bastion is so freaking creepy, and even though it doesn't quite come across that well in this one? My brain has no trouble conjuring up images from the first game. That place, it's all antiquity rotting from the inside out with metal and steam and electronics glimmering in the gaps in the walls. ...also, the fact that the things you strike emit steam like the thing is screaming does not help.
But by now Sora's incredibly high in the castle, not even noticing that he doesn't remember these people, and the people? Maleficent and Belle, and the Beast, these shadows of themselves where apparently all that's available for them to be built on is the vauge idea that Maleficent is evil and steals hearts, Belle is smarter than you, and the Beast is very noble. And I got torn between amusement at how shallow they seem (like bad fanfic, haha Sora is fanficcing his friends) and the fleeting thought of Maleficent/Belle when the first encounter with Belle and the Beast makes it seem like she's choosing Maleficent over him. Gah, brain-beaking.
And, since Belle mentioned reading in the library - what can of books can you read in the mind of someone who's lost nearly all his memories? Because I'm torn between thinking of blank pages and thinking, maybe Sora's memories were in those books. Real memories.
And Riku (or is it some experiment/clone/what the heck wah Riku!!!) is waiting except I can't get past Maleficent-dragon. ARGH!! *dead*
Meanwhile I am still lagging and trying to fight my way out of bad habits. But, I'm doing better than I had been before the vacation. I fixed my vacumm cleaner(the same week I got home, I think), I've been cooking. It is good. Except for the bit where game = eating brain.
