spokeSo. When last I played, I made it to the end of the Sochen Cave Palace after defeating the Boss thereof.
Now leaving said area.
Oh joy. :D Even if it's Old Archades and not the new city yet. Balthier is not very complimentary of his old home, either.
Well no wonder. This place is depressing. Realistic, too. x.x
Wow, Balthier just knows the most interesting people! See, that was who I expected him to have learned about neithecite from. :P ...also, I love how my habit of talking to everyone is paying off. ^^
Today, on Growing Up With Vaan: Wow travel is broadening of one's horizons. Who knew?! XD
NO! Nonononono, I want to go with Balthier dammit!! Why are we always stuck with Vaan? :(
Okay. Finally. One sandalwood chop, because I was determined not to get there and have to turn around. Now where's Balthier! :D

And, after going to sleep and getting any number of little packing things done... back to the game for just a smidge before leaving!
Opening at - dramatic music and the awareness that someone might actually be trying to kill Cid!

Although for one horrible second I thought the guy with the twin swords (who's a sky pirate! :D eee, we're collecting them) had got him. What the heck is that thing?! And why did it protect Cid when it abandoned the others! And why is it encouraging Cid to harass Ashe?! XD
And. Ashe seriously needs to stop making me twitch. Girl, if you keep listening to the Imperial speciest types I'm going to have to push you off an airship somewhere. >:ppp
Also, Balthier: "I hate it when he does that." Just as if he often charges in with an assorted mess of comrades for a major showdown only to have Dad cut and run. XD

So many developments! Fleets massing for war! the Marquis threatening to allay with Rozzaria! And what the heck is so bad about these people, c'mon! Stupid lack of information.

Well. And I meant to make this part a long, thoughtful post about me and my Mom and how little we get along, but I have no time now really.
Just sitting here, running through packing lists and hoping I'm not forgetting anything, hoping that this half of the trip won't completely drive me insane - if it gets too stressful, I will come home early. That's what I'm looking at.
And I mean, listening to me talk about Mom, a work-friend pointed out that I'm driving and I could leave before things got too hostile and it damaged our relationship more. x.x
