i did it! i finished the story (my first finished story ever! have i mentioned this? yes, probably to the point of driving people insane!), which is now up at ff.net. i would be all bouncy, but i exhausted that mood last night while i was spellchecking and things.

looking down at my posts since this started, i think the story not only hijacked my brain, but knocked maybe ten years off my age. i swear, way too hyper-bubbly-insane. but it was fun, d*mnit!

now to get back to actually working. on other things. on my other stories, which i feel a lot better about, since i've now proven to myself that i can finish a story.

would a story told entirely through poems be interesting, though? i need to find a poetry community where i can ask this, maybe. or a writing one, or something...

trying to learn to drive at 25 years old suck.

however, there are some good days.

i've been circling around my block every day (or at least trying to) to get used to being in the car by myself. i'm hoping this will help my nervousness.

and then i almost ran over a chicken. i don't why this was so funny; my red neck neighbors should not be letting their wildlife roam the streets. next i'm probably going to have to avoid someone's cow that's gotten loose.

but i still could have choked laughing because of this darn chicken; i'm still grinning like an idiot.

i am soo moving away from this place as soon as it's financially possible. i'm beginning to worry the red neck is rubbing off on me, and there is some difference between country and redneck. some.

oh, and i made pretty icons, which hopefully my dad will scan for me later!
