had a good time at the zoo yesterday. the boys were very happy, even though they didn't want to stay still long enough to really look at anything! also, got to wander off by myself without too much fuss from the boys. (though it was cuute, Jonathan tried to grab my hand and drag me)
sat for at least half an hour, trying to work on the Mars poems; got some vague idea, but now i think i'm just pushing too hard. especially on those, so i think i'll set it aside for awhile.
something was in the air with the cats. i swear, every cat in the zoo, pacing or staring at everyone. and the lynx and the bobcats? house-cat frisky; the smaller bobcat ran straight up the side of the cage.
and i was in the gift shop and saw the most beautiful earrings. Wild Bryde, swans with little pearls in them. i felt very inspired to go driving suddenly, and more confident that i could pull off getting my license.
never underestimate the motivational power of Greed!
and then today, while sis(Patricia. why do i keep not using her name? hmmm.) was getting the boys to help clean up the house, Nathaniel found a missing earring of mine.
i had lost this thing months ago; i was very upset, because that pair was a very old christmas present. too cool!
Patricia showed me how to check the oil and other fluids in my car earlier, too. slowly but surely... yes, i will drive this thing!
