so. got some more sleep after being a zombie yesterday. even though i was a zombie, went and practiced my driving twice. and it was the first time i felt happy about driving since i got the car. (shrugs) i guess i'm making some progress, if i can even momentarily stop feeling like i'm taking a test.

my dad sent me a couple of my pictures. so i've got two new icons, even though i'm going to have to figure how to fix the fact that he scanned them slanted. is that possible when you only have paint to work with?

and, i've decided that i need some review in drawing. like, i can remember just enough from highschool art classes to have some vauge idea what i'm doing wrong, but i can't remember the specifics. arg! sis owes me for much babysitting where she ran way past her schedule (meaning- i was supposed to watch them for a couple hours in the afternoon and ended up putting them to bed) and even though it was for the good cause of her taking one or the other to an appointment, or house-hunting, she feels guilty and wanted to get me something. so i said 'some sort of How To Draw People book'. (is embarrased) but i'm hoping this will get me back to where i was in highschool at least.

but i have new icons right now! happy happy, joy joy, happy happy joy joy.

woo boy

so i make a comment the other day concerning cyborgs (you know who you are) and it turns around and bites me in the strangest way.

i'm sitting looking at all the links i've made, as i have a very bad habit of the following: go to Google. search for X subject. grab any links for X subject that look interesting. like, grocery shopping by grabbing anything that looks yummy. :)

this is bad because i then have a ton of links that pile up and no way to know if i have anything useful. then i procrastinate on sorting through them. and now we have come in the circle to the involvement of my firs statement. cyborgs- was wondering what kind of metals they might be made of, and how they take care of themselves (i mean, what if he rusts or something?).

and the only speaking muse for the biggest thing i'm working on pops up. with the remark that if they're going to put all this work into the carving and proper attunment of the crystals, they can hardly just drop them into any old frame, can they? of course not. it would ruin all thier hard work. and what about the metal itself, and stone in general and minerals, and stones that would only occur on earth, and certain chemicals that are refined from metals/stones/what have you, and would they retain properties from worked items andandand......

i'm still trying to hold to 'no finishing things until i'm finished typing, because i'm still! finding bits and pieces and learning where they go-serves me right for not organzing.

but! ow! because he's right, and i have all these links and, well. (sings) here we go slogging through the links, through the links, through the links...

eek. and the art bunnies are tagging along: as i come across some very pretty pics of amber(definately an Earth-exclusive item) i get this beautiful image of a bits and pieces type mosaic, with the biggest piece being of an 'amber' with a spider and trapped in it. i actually have some idea how to go about that; some papers, and paints, are transparent and will stay that way(i have read in passing) and if i could find a nice amber colored one, and just spray or glue it over the spider-and-web... *g*. i will not have any lack of things to work on once i find a job, will i?
