oldest nephew: "i'm thirsty!"
Mar. 6th, 2003 11:04 amfirst, the sense meme, gacked from Blackrose:
Set 1:
1. What does love sound like?
crap. there's this one piece of classical music i keep hearing off and on, and i don't know its name!
2. What color is hate?
red. this nasty poisnous red i saw once that looked like someone threw acid on it.
3. What does joy feel like (to the touch)?
a warm cup, one that's got coffee or hot chocolate in it.
4. What scent are/is home?
wood and water. i guess because i've lived with trees around me all my life, and i love rain.
5. How does despair taste? bitter.
Set 2:
1. What colour is the wind?
what color is glass? seriously, that sort no-color of really clear glass, or plastic, so you know something's there, but can't see it really.
2. What does hope taste like?
(fidgets embarrased) marshmallow peeps. like they have at Easter. 'specially yellow peeps.
3. What scent is orange?
(blinks) it's orange. it's... um, citrusy and tangy? and making me thirsty.
4. What does sadness feel like (to the touch)?
smooth and soft and warm, like summer air.
5. What does home sound like?
rain falling.
Set 3:
1. What scent is happiness?
pecan pie baking in an oven. (one of the few things i tried to learn to cook.)
2. What color is despair?
the nastiest green you can think of. (again with the rotten/acid-eaten thing)
3. What does anger feel like (to the touch)?
sharp, like accidentally picking up a knife by the wrong end. (dishwater:always be careful with the stuff.)
4. What does sadness sound like?
quiet.
5. What does love taste like?
chocolate! melty milk chocolate, all warm and yummy. (unless upset-then it's dark chocolate; same yummy, different texture... i don't know why.)
and after answering, you're supposed to make your own questions, so:
Set 4:
1. What does laughter look like?
2. What does water smell like?
3. What does satisfaction feel like? (to the touch)
4. What do dreams taste like?
5. What does fear sound like?
in other news: so occasionally a muse will go awol on me. the first couple of times i freaked, wasn't sure what that was... now i'm still not happy with it, as i am a wee bit of a control freak, 'specially about what goes on in my own head. but, since it seems to be normal for me, i've just started gritting my teeth and waiting for whoever to show back up.
examples: Laguna and his cast searches; when i started gathering together all the pieces for the world i'm going to call Hourglass, until something better presents itself, Glenn from Chrono Cross vanished into it, as did Citan and Severus Snape. (??) now i know that Glenn and Citan are somewhere together, working on.. something?! (directs into headspace- i could use some information!) but Snape?
not until yesterday did i have a clue what he was up to. then wondering about the relatioships between crystals and stone and gemstones and minerals; i start going through my bag'o'links; and find out that frankinsense and myrhh are related to amber, in that all three are the products of tree resin. and i start thinking about the corellation between that and minerals, thinking that if you can make medicenes out of that, and if they were to make/treat/charge? a crystal, just so they could grind it down because it had to be ingested to serve as a medicene...
enter; Insufferably Smug!Snape. because of course, this is Potions. it's a branch of the whole bizzare quasi-religious art form that's developing that is, in essence, Potions! ummm....?!?!
i mean, it seems cool, and it fits both Snape and Hourglass, but. okay. (oh Snaape? Mister Smirking Git? what time period are you in, hmm? because if you want to play with this, you'd better help sort out the sequence of events.)
and, random cute nephew sentence: upon being told that spiders eat bugs, Nathaniel says "No, spiders eat spiderwebs!"
