I can squish a picture into an icon!
Apr. 20th, 2003 04:25 pmsee, see? these are my nephews! well, it is a tiny picture and you can't see their faces so good, but i managed it!
left is Nathaniel, top right is Jonathan (the evil one who takes after his Mommy) and at the bottom is little Ashlin-Nicole, who's only about two months now.
they came over yesterday, along with Michelle. i didn't know she'd be visiting. Patricia says the legal stuff is humming along about as fast as it can be expected to, which is very cool. and Michelle, now that she's been visiting more often, is a lot more comfortable around everyone. she walked up to me and said she loved me out of the blue yesterday! every other time she had to be coaxed to talk to anyone but Mommy, and - (is all touched and relieved to see her talking more, and just mush.)
anyway. and then, before letting them out to look for the eggs, i helped Patricia get them into their Easter outfits to show off.
i was not informed that i drew the short straw. i was not warned that Jonathan considers his outfit a torture device. i mean, he went red in the face crying while i tried to get this thing on him. O.o
it was just a dress shirt and a jacket! it was loose and comfy and everything!
in other news; i wonder vaugely if it is okay to celebrate Easter when i'm pretty much agnostic
and; i had what i felt was a wonderful post all composed in my head last night. really. something about patterns of thought, and the way, having had family members tell me how do things, i suspect there's something fundamently different about the way our minds work.
of course i didn't write anything down. which is probably just as well, as being tired and aangry and PMS-y, for me, leads to channeling Snape, and i'm not sure it would have been that well-worded. vicious, yes. thoughtful and of any importance outside of my family, probably not so much.
damnit, why can't i pull that off when i have to talk to people i don't like?!
