Jan. 14th, 2005 01:33 amSo a work-friend got me to buy this stuff we've just started carrying, this soy protein health drink in different flavors. ...I think I may have found a new addiction, here. Although I will be buying some chai tea to confirm this suspicion, because it sure as heck isn't the vanilla that popped my eyes open like that. ^.^ *sips*
Now, this is what happens when I am having a fit of inspiration while at work - well, in between jotting down various bits and pieces of the insanity that is Yugioh fic. Any Yugioh fic, not just mine that is driving me nuts because we don't have all of the manga in America yet and I hate to try and finish ficcing anything when I haven't finished the series itself. >.< It is headache inducing, having something written that you like and then discovering it won't work with canon. The ideas roaming around in my head are bad enough, but the one time I'd actually written something out and had this happen. ;_; Never. Ever. Again.
I got completely sidetracked there, didn't I? ^^;; Anyway... Trying to ignore the lunatics (= cast of Yugioh) and staring at the candy rack that I was technically supposed to be straightening, I noticed a misplaced mint chocolate bar that was supposed to be on the candy aisle. On the way over there, (because we were that slow) the following thought ran through my head - mint = winter, power, determination.
And then I thought, whaaaat?
And this might have been the end of it if I hadn't noticed the bulk of headspace had done a screech!halt number. Except Gerald, who was doing his little 'I'm not smirking. Physically. I am merely projecting an aura of smirk...' thing, but that's not really related to this. << ^^;; Anyway. I decided to take advantage of the idea since it was shutting everyone up, and started listing down flavors that had associations as they occurred to me. And since I was enjoying myself, I decided that I would post it when I got home, and offer it as a meme as well.
This was Wednesday morning when I got off work. As for why it's taken until Friday morning to actual be posted, well. << >> That's at the end of the meme. ^^;
