Jun. 22nd, 2005 09:54 pmGot out to the post office okay, and things have been mailed. Now I feel ridiculous nervous about it. Is it there yet? When will it be there?! Will things be appreciated or have I made a mistake, ahhhh!!! :P Ignore my panicking dorkness. Or, you know, break out a fire hose, whichever seems more appropriate.
Things that I discovered today:
1. Nowhere in Jacksonville is there a theater playing Howl's Moving Castle. Therefore, this place sucks.
2. It is possible to be offensive enough to drive even me out of a store. Either that, or I'm growing a backbone? ^^; But the girl giving me an excuse me expression because I needed some help with shoes? >:/ Oooh no, outta there.
3. Second shoe store, and the nicest guy. Bored out of his mind, too, you could hear it in his voice and the way he was occasionally trailing off in his memorized spiels, ending with 'Uh... yeah.' and 'It's a good thing.' XD I tried so hard not to laugh. But he was still polite and actually paying attention to what he was doing, if not so much what he was saying. And they didn't have my size, but have ordered it for me? So I should have nice new shoes by Monday. ^_^
Also, I found the sort of book I was looking for : Gemstones of the World by Walter Schumann, which looks to contain everything I could possibly want to know. Ever. And also it contains lovely photographs and illustrations and is hardbound. *.*
And I'm not going to think about the money I spent. I am not. Anyone catching me doing so, feel free to shoot me.
