(no subject)
Oct. 6th, 2005 08:43 pmSo, I have returned. With no Yu-Gi-Oh.
Because, you know. That's tomorrow. >.> *goof* And I kind of suspected that and went anyway. Took back the dvd that didn't work - but they didn't have another copy! I wanted to watch The Explorers, darnit. 'Tis one of those cheesy 80's movies I love in spite (because of?) the pure cheesy 80's of it.
Homemade. Spaceship. How do you beat that?! ;p
So I ended up getting a copy of Vampire Hunter D #1, which I knew was a book and (finally) out in English translation - speaking of cheesy 80's? Only anime instead of live action. The rest of it is on a gift card which will be going right back tomorrow, because I will have my Yu-Gi-Oh, darnit!
And then Starbucks! I will say this for the cashier I had - she knew her coffees, darnit! Probably knows more than I do. *.* But she didn't know how to pronounce this coffee which I had been eyeing - a 'Shirkina' which is a 'sun-dried sidamo' (yes I am copying off the bag, hush). She wouldn't let go, either. She kept trying in between customers, some of whom she was conversing very intelligently with on thier coffees and why they wanted it such-and-such a way, with one lady because the way she was asking would make it taste nasty. >.>
When my Shirkina had been ground, I walked away? She was still trying to figure it out. I think she might've been annoying the other girl. XD
I'm beginning to suspect that as I feel better about myself, I get looser with money. O.o; I need to watch that, because if I do go and overspend, I'm only going to depress myself.
That said, I need new handles for my desk. Partly because I love my desk, but there is also the tiny issue of it having come from Mom. During the divorce. I kinda of feel like, 'customizing' it a little bit might distance it (me?) from that. Must go to Home Depo or something while I'm out tomorrow.
