spokeWonderful trip with Lacey - minial getting lost on the way there and a few wrong turns while we were. >.>;
The curse struck on the way home. 5 hours I was lost, trying to find my way home. >.< Kicking myself and trying not to kick myself, and generally getting tied into knots. So instead of running over what went wrong, I will point out what I did right by way of reminding myself. >:P
1. Stopped twice to ask for directions, and didn't feel very uncomfortable/embarrased about it. Possibly because both convient-store cashiers were friendly? And in the case of the second and more worked up incident, there was a really sympathetic customer who helped. ^^;
2. Got water the second time, instead of letting myself get dehyrated, which leads to horrible headaches. >.>
3. Thought to pull out the directions for getting to the zoo and going from there again, which didn't work out so well but that was due to ensuing ...erm, I can't think of a way to say that which isn't kicking myself. ...It was a good idea, though!
And really? I am never trying to drive anywhere on that little sleep again, because the whole mess started when it started catching up with me and I couldn't pay attention to signs properly. x.x
But there will be squee over the visiting and the zoo and the mall! Just, when I've recovered. zzzzzzz
