Elizabeth? Is now parked at a bank near work, where she was pushed by one cop and a wonderful gentleman who stopped to try and help. He also gave myself and my co-worker a quick hop up to Wal-mart.

I have no idea what I'm going to do now, though since my brother was talking about fixing his girlfriend's car, I'm hoping he might be able to do something with mine.

If he ever wakes up.

Work was... okay, though? High point of the night:

H: No, but you can't see the private (trails off in a 'I started a sentance and don't know how to finish' way)

Me, mind obviously somewhere it didn't need to be at work: "Okay, no filming porn in Wal-mart."

She broke out laughing, unfortunately hitting her head on the wall in front of her.

...I am probably never going to hear the end of this. It was still worth it. >:D

ETA: I'm about to call a towing company to take her from the bank to the Pepboys, which is fortunatly close by. Wish me luck?

First ETA: 9:18

This ETA: 11:30

After the tow company wanted to charge me $65 to move Elizabeth what amounts to a couple of miles (if that), my brother offered to tow it himself.

We returned home. Stopped by a neighbor's that he might borrow a chain for towing, and pick up a friend to help with the necessary pushing. And went back to get Elizabeth towed.

I was insanely nervous watching for Larry's signals for braking and such, but it wasn't too bad. I was only sure I was going to hit him twice.

Then the towing line popped loose. In the Pepboys's parking lot.

I left her there and Larry brought me home. So now I'm just waiting to hear what the no-start diagnostic turns up, and how much it will be to fix her. Larry's promised me a ride back up there when she's ready, too. (His price for this - 'Be sure and talk me up to Dad, okay? He's been on my case.' I did not laugh, although I wanted to. And, calling Dad to update him and shower the brother with roses was the first thing I did, too. ^_^ )

The heat was amazing. It's possibly to forget, working nights, how bloody freaking hot it gets down here, even on a summer day that's edging towards fall. Nevermind I have no tolerance built up for it. I need to get more sun.

The other thing I noticed, walking over to the old trailor to get him, is the smell of magnolia seeds. The flowers have no smell, but the seeds? It's this incredible, heavy smell, like a dark perfume - not sweet, not light, but just... summer days when you Don't. Want. To Move. Just lie in the shade somewhere, maybe with some ice water. Or ice that will shortly be water.

Evenings when you suddenly realize the day vanished while you Weren't Moving, and it's time to cram as much stuff into what's left of the day as possible before the parents impose the doom of Bedtime.

ETA: Being stuck out in the heat waiting for a tow truck? Will kill that nostalgia kick pretty fast. I got my call that the car was ready about 1:?? got up there, the little brother hugs me and leaves - and the car won't start. They got it to start after a bit and were kinda iffy about letting me go.

Really I shouldn't have gone.

It died a little over halfway to home.

Insert waiting for tow truck here, ended when Dad showed up with his wonderfully air-conditioned car. He waited with me, helped the tow truck find us, and drove me back up there. Some consulation and description of symptoms, and then we left. But at least I'm home again.

And I can try to sleep this time. When I'd normally be waking up not 40 minutes from now. x.x

And, one obviously sleep-deprived bit of insanity before I crash: Orginization 13's Saix as the love child of Anubis and Rajura of Samurai Troopers. I really should not try to match up Troopers and Kingdom Hearts. XD
