thinking, thinking and more wtf?!
Jan. 21st, 2003 12:44 pmtrying to do research online and vaguely musing on world building, for the still nameless world, and i found these questions about Io:
----------------------------
Open Issues
It seems that Io is radiating heat faster than the tidal mechanism can generate it. Is the present epoch atypically active? Or is there some additional source of heat?
What mechanism drives the volcanoes? What is the eruptive material?
Does Io have its own magnetic field? If so, what is its origin?
--------------------------------
neat! oh, i don't know. (whistles while looking innocent)
and in the continuing 'Quest to type up Everything', I found this:
Conchshell Blade
The moon seems to be pink
through the viel of the billowing curtains
and a blade lies on the balcony
three feet of steel calling to me
and a conchshell worked on the hilt I see
bad poetry, and another reminder of my fascination for making objects for my characters.
but - but i had forgotten about the mermaids! all these little clans of various apperances i tired to make, and their cultures and relationships with the humans...
ow. i need a time machine, so i go back and tell myself to keep better notes, at the least.
i can remember the blade itself belongs to a human allied to this particular group...
yeuck. some of this is really bad poetry.
