There is a moment, when they're all noticing the Bahamut being hit and stop to discuss Ashe's possible running for the hills? :P But Vaan's line there... for a moment he seems older. Like you're getting an idea of the man he'll be someday.
They got me with Gabranth, too. Not in the first battle, though it was bad enough hearing the pain in his voice. But after you've moved on to Vayne? And he's been struck down, and asks Basch if Larsa is a good master? Oh ouch. oh heartbreak ;_; Just reach into my chest and pull my heart out, why don't you?!
Vayne. Is so wonderfully creepy and polite. Apologizing for the delay in welcoming them aboard. XD And for a split second, when he asks 'Who are you?' I thought he honestly did not know. *dead*
Ashe, though? Good answer.
Larsa? Larsa rocks. Larsa rocks on levels not previously known to exist. *_* When he pulled a sword on his brother? :o And his hands were shaking and he didn't want to do this, but oh he helped us he did. ...and you look at his family, and everything that's happened to him, and it just sucks to be Larsa. *hugs the stuffings out of him*
And stepping in to save Gabranth, leading to the above-mentioned heartbreak. :O Did I mention the bit where Larsa rocks? :D
And what the hell happened with Vayne and Venat and the snapping and the going all Sephiroth there?! >.>
The sad thing is, I think they were right. That Venat was the 'good' Occurian, if such can be said of meddling immortal beings, and the goal in itself (break the power of the Occuria so that they can no longer meddle in the affairs of mankind) was a good one. It was the part where it involved genocide and murder and general world-dominating insanity that was a problem.
I love Fran and Balthier and their little bit of congratulating each other.
Larsa knowing his brother was dead. :(
And calling an end to the war, and everything for one moment is safe, saved and they can stop - and then the Bahamut. It was the length of all Rabanastre, it would have destroyed it. so scary o.o
And then that brave stupid Judge Magister on the Alexander, taking about ramming the Bahamut to push it away from the city. o.o To think of sacrificing yourself and your whole crew that way. <3
And then!!! Balthier, you idiot!!! You noble crazed freaking GAH!!!! Him and Fran both, fixing the engines that kept the Bahamut afloat. And still calling himself the leading man. Then another little horrible moment, thinking Fran had been killed. I kept twitching, waiting for someone to be killed.
Fran got him good, though. "more of a supporting role"
And the hurt little tone when he responded! XD
Then, life goes on. Because that's the way stories should end. Life Goes On, stretching out forever and full of all the ordinary wonderful things you fought for in the first place. Rabanastre looking like the home Penelo remembered, and herself walking down the streets and shopping in an outfit I'm sure the Archadians wouldn't have let her wear - I swear that looks like some kind of ceremonial dancer's gear. I wanted to see her performing at Ashe's coronation! ^_^
I wanted to see Ashe's coronation. (Betcha anything Al-Cid shows up and makes a nuisance of himself ;p )
I wanted to see Rozarria!
But oh heartbreak, Basch taking Noah's place as 'Gabranth'. :( Because I'm not sure he could ever leave, not Archadia. meep.
And Balthier and Fran alive! I can just picture them sneaking in there and stealing thier own ship. Smirking like idiots. XD
And eeeee, Vaan has his ship! His Ship, what he wanted when this whole mess started! :D
