A random sampling of disasters:
: After trying to get my YGO, and finally getting it, I discover that the first disc is ..etched, actually. With fingerprint marks that I assumed were only grease at first? And found that they cannot be cleaned off. I went back the next day to exchange it - and found when I got through the return line that I'd forgotten the first disc.
It was still sitting in my computer. I've now spent more money on gas for the trips that I did for the dvd. But I'll be trying to get out there and get it exchanged again, tonight. Or maybe tomorrow, I'm not sure yet.
: I'm also not sure if I really want to go to this meeting we're supposed to have at 10. Though I probably should.
: Dusky had a lovely hairball waiting for me when I got home.
: My days off have been changed back to Tuesdays and Wednesdays, effective the 9th. I don't know if I'll get to have the days I want off for the last HP, yet.
: My old mailbox rusted out, and I got out one that I had noticed sitting in the garage - only to find I had no way of attaching it. It got knocked off the pole and smashed before I could figure anything out. Though this did lead to me buying a new one, and nails, and that's settled at least.
: The more I think about that personality quiz the more it seems like I've been trying to be my mother. Very. Depressing.
: So is any thought of trying to figure out what I might want to learn in college, even though everything else connected to that was (is?) going well.
: My teeth have been hurting a bit, and on examining them in the mirror I see I've gotten cavities. I'm really overdue to go back to the dentist, except that too is depressing. Not to mention scary.
...screw it, I'm going to the meeting. At least I'll get a smidgen of overtime that way.
And on the bright side? At World's End is damn shiny. ...I really need some shiny.
ETA: No meeting, they changed their minds and the information we're supposed to see will be given to the night shift at the end of our shift. Idiots.
On the other hand, this was told to me by a High Muckety Muck, who seemed impressed that I'd actually shown up. so. ha!
Further, Dusky has a spot of fur missing on her back, just behind the shoulder blades - it looks almost... ripped out? But I can't imagine where she could have gotten caught on anything, and she seems fine otherwise.
