Re-reading the Coldfire trilogy, while trying to remind myself to start pulling together notes and making my outline-and augh!!! NaNaWriMo!!
Yet cannot stop reading Coldfire-must finish. Not sure if it's really spoilery for Coldfire, so must cut. << Especially when they're from other books.
Neville, on the above-mentioned, and Vryce's constant wondering about how much he's changed since the beginning of things, and come to trust Tarrant far more than is theologically comfortable (as the whole tension between these two comes down to a shared background and Tarrant's rejection of/having been rejected by said religion).
"Well... Tarrant Worked him, didn't he?"
Myself freezing, turning to look at Nev from the corners of my eyes. "Er... what?" O.O
Neville: "Back in the first book, in his Forest. Tarrant told him he would trust him, and he was using their sort of magic, wasn't he? It was a Working?"
Me, becoming disturbed. "Yeah..." <<
Neville: "So, things have continous effects. In that world, a lot more than my own, even. It would have kept affecting Vryce, making him that more likely to trust Tarrant every time something requiring it came up."
Me: o.o "Okay, I'm not entirely sure whether you reading this with me is good or not, as you seem entirely too comfortable with... all of it. Just- go play in a garden somewhere. Or back to the rp!" *pointing* "You have homework there!"
Neville, frowning: "I want to see the Hunter's Forest." *pouts*
Me: o.o;;
