spokeSo I kind of vanished. Mono has been kicking my butt, and what energy I've got has mostly gone into working on the game for my Yuletide assignment. Which! I am pleased to say I finished to do, and the plotbunnies are breeding. <3
But! This entry is not about that, nor about my failure to complete drabblevember properly - not going to bother me, as it was not a high stress thing. It did its job of getting me to write again! And this is awesome.
This entry is about: Epic Mickey! OMG. :D
First warning, there are 2 updates included with this, one of which takes awhile. That could just be because this is my second Wii game, however. People with more games might already have gotten said updates.
THIS GAME IS GORGEOUS
I know I knew that already from pretty preview article, but just. So much pretty. Just in the opening credits! Mickey being a bad, bad mousie and then running for it, and and then it gets him! The shadow thingy got him and I actually said "use the Keyblade!" and um. XD
Mickey will forever be King Mickey, Keyblade Wielder in some part of my mind. ♥
And and then! The Mad Doctor is about to keel Mickey by crazy giant swiss army knife machine, I kid you not. It finally pulls out a plunger that was going to steal Mickey's Heart! D: Which again made me think of Kingdom Hearts, because Mickey's heart is much too strong for this nonsense!
And it is true! He breaks free and there is so much awesome I can't even keep track and I'm going to have to replay this game So Much and now I am trying to escape from the malfunctioning giant swiss army knife machine and I accidentally found the pause button while trying to open a chest and eeeee @.@
...I don't think it wants me to open chests in the middle of frightening battle for my life.
Also, Gus! And Oswald, but he was. Kind of messing things up.
Onward!
And okay, good, not too hard for a first boss. Also, you do not open treasures - you smash them!
Alright. It's a lot easier to get a feel for controls when you're not freaking out about the giant swiss army knife machine. ...I will never get tired of saying that. Giant swiss army knife machine! :D Loot: 23 red ticket things, no idea the use, and a Bronze Pin, ditto.
Ooooh, very nice. Plot dialogue stuff in a different artform, now I remember that being mentioned but it pleasantly surprised me.
Mickey has apparently soaked up some of the Phantom Blot. He looked wicked pleased about this. Oh yes. >.>

Ooookay, game, stop making me target practice and let me move. Dammit. >:p
Okay! Aim is improving, I can tell you that. :p It's a little tricky, though, Mickey isn't always looking where I think he's looking. Getting there, though. I am really liking filling things in with the paint, though.
And the transfer from world to world is a tiny sidescrolling level! <3
Ugh. And then I started feeling sick, and can't find a save point, and I'm going to have to try this some more tomorrow.
