spokeSo. Have not been too talkative lately, even though I keep seeing people online and meaning to say hi. :(
Am busy trying not to get depressed over the continual 'Today the car will be back-yoink, not!' situation. :( I mean, I know I'm getting it back, but I need it back. Like, now! So I can go do something fun and silly, like see Pirates again. And do some shopping so that I will not worry 'What if they sell out of the RW dvds before I can get them all?'
Which is, in the grand scheme of things, a relatively minor concern: but still a nagging one for me. Also doesn't help that I have a bad habit of putting things like that off, because even when I have money, I never feel like I have enough money.
Since I suspect this feeling would continue even if I won the lottery, I had promised myself (after the accident, what I suspect is a natural 'I will try to enjoy life more' reaction) to work on that. Not so much with the going crazy spending, as just trying to keep at myself to slowly pick up all these things i've wanted for years, and do things. Like (and I accept the risk of sounding completely corny/sentimental) going out to the beach, and see a sunrise. And get a nice haircut, like I couldn't in school. And stuff.
But I haven't had the chance, because I don't have my car back!!! ;_;
Trying to distract myself with writing: Breath of Fire 3, mostly. And I'd gotten a good bit done, maybe a couple of chapters? When I started to feel stuck. So, I distract myself with MegaMan Legends, and random thoughts about the fic I meant to do for that...
And yesterday-early this morning? That time between 2 and 4 when inspirations always seem to hit me at work, I get one from Teepo.
That the story really ought to start with Ryu coming to his senses in the Duana Mines, only he will be there as well, having followed that &*^%&% Garr into the Mines. And that the story of how it is he's not waiting in Eden for the guys to show up and have to kill him, (and all the other changes this had caused), should be dealt with in flash backs, and Ryu's introduction to people who had been NPCs before I started on this mess.
Well, for one thing, I had suspected he was going to hate Garr, but lacked confirmation beforehand. And for another, this throws everything i've written out the window, as I'd started with Teepo as a kid, meeting up with the Hide-and-Seek gang, and *whines* I don't wanna start over! *hissy fits* Don't wanna, don't wanna, don't WANNA!!! *throws things*
*calms down* Okay, so it makes more sense; and it will be more interesting to write, I think? Way more interesting to read, I'm sure of that. I am doomed to start over. :( Woe is me. Woe.<- extra especially serious tone. ;p
But also, I have begun to crave old MegaMan games. Despite the fact I have no NES or SNES on which to play them. Mostly because I have been reading game guides, while thinking about the nebulous MegaMan fic idea, trying to get the feel of the old games. XD
But I love this one guide! You have got to love a walkthrough written by snarky smart-asses. Really:OH EM GEE It's the really hard boss in Mega Man 2. I wonder how we will defeat this little critter? And yes, I made up "Really Hard Boss" for the name of this really hard boss all by myself, without my mommy's help. FEAR ME!!! It's all like this; complete with silly pop-culture referances, like naming small monsters that aren't named in the game. Things like Purple People Eaters and Cincinati Bengals and there's a referance to Sesame Street in there : mentioning the Boss # (14) and then saying 'We have learned to count to 14! Mwahaha! I had to grin, you know?'
Maybe I will end up buying one of the X games? Those are for Playstation... but I suck at shoot-'em-up, reflex dependant games.... but I crave MegaMan...

While waiting for livejournal to stop being a pain, I also noticed this in the guide:OMG WTH IT'S A PAIR OF STOCKINGS! Actually, it is another one of those rotating platform machines again, and there are three of those Tube Sliders again. And the shape of the machine looks like two socks that are stacked atop of one another. Avoid all of the Tube Sliders, and hop up to the ladder once the platform takes you there.
OH MY GOD A FLYING DONKEY WEARING A GARTER BELT! Actually, it's another one of those rotating platform machines AGAIN. And no, this one does not look like a flying donkey wearing a garter belt. It actually looks like a... uhm... a... an Eminem backwards "E" on the left... that has an elephant trunk... and... uhm... uh... some wiggly lines... and, uh... stuff... Regardless, it's a long ride, so climb the ladder once you get there, and kill those Tube Sliders many, many times.
Yeah, so I'm amused by idiots rambling at length. So?! The important part is it amuses me at a time when I desperately need amusement! ;p
