So, after reading an incredibly emotional Troopers story which has not been posted yet but eventually will be? Is that a tease or? Blah. Story. Incredible story which will be linked to when it goes up.

...I had a point other than said story when I started this... Ah! Went to sleep all emotional, expecting I would dream about Troopers or something. I really did. What I ended up with was this: Hero: Average-nondescript type guy with this strange weapon. I mean, it looked kind of like a short sword, or perhaps a very large knife. Except there was a guard/handle thing that was actually a little bit longer than the blade. And when he was fighting, it would get this charge, like energy coruscating between the blade and the guard-bit. And I mean coruscating, it was like a little solar flare, if it got charged enough it was hard to look at. Which could get tricky, since the battle were a lot like Kingdom Hearts? And it's hard to tell what you should be having him do if you cannot see what you're doing?!

^^; Guess who got annoyed at a video game in her head again?

Then, his friend - and I wish I could remember more of this, I know I'm losing details - but he was the one I would've pegged for a more typical hero-type. In that, he stood out more, the villagers etc. actually noticed him more than the hero. Black hair and blue eyes and utterly more vivid than his friend, yet distinctly not-the-hero. Which he seemed okay with even though everyone around them reacted badly upon finding this out? Well, not everyone, there were a few nice NPCs who were cool with this.

I note that they were not relying on him to save them from monster/solve villager-type problems.

Villagers: 'Help us, save us from the dragon!'
Guy#2 : *turns to friend* Whaddya you think? ^^
Villagers: wtf? Him?!
Guy#2 : *rolling eyes sympathetic look to his friend, which he knows the villagers can't see*

Also, I think there was something about a curse... and a mirror? Specifically about the second guy, so maybe part of our questing schtick was uncursifying him. Again, wish I could remember more. I had this distinct knowledge that this was some epical, multi-disk setup - and I had played it before.

And I was going through it for the second or maybe third time, trying to achieve an alternate ending.

And I had gone through all my beginning stuff. There was this school or something? I really think it was a school, old brick setup but almost like my grade school << which was just really wierd. But there was something in there that had to be driven off - and I remember being annoyed because I had to use my hero to do when I knew ghost-dealings were Guy#2's job. That annoying feeling when you replay something and you're thinking how much easier it would be if you had the powers from later in the game. So #2 showing him where it was and telling him what it's about and -hey. XD Hiding behind because he couldn't do anything. Hero-guy trying to hit the ghost with the freaky weapon and just - something like 2,3 out of every 10 hits connecting. There was something else about that... and about it being a second or third try...

Then... I wish I could describe things better, but. All these landscapes and things, moving through a lot of little towns and villages cluttered together, like the buildings themselves were huddled against a storm. Some of the places were vivid and matched #2, and some of them were non-descript and fit #1 better - but I think the people there. When there were people at all? Disliked him more than the ones living in a #2 area. Let's see... the school, some mountain tunnels place, a lake with something huge rising out of it and we ran - and that was a choice, like this beautiful cinema bit started and then the words pop up, and I picked to run away.

Not that the turning tail wasn't funny. >:)

And... yeah. Defintely we were trying to uncurse Guy#2, because we went through all this and ended up in some village near the top of a mountain... wierd mansion type place. Took something from FF7 and the Shinra mansion, but the center room? Had these portals in lines, glittery clear white that faintly showed these monsters - and this is where I stopped playing and went to the guide book. The guide book.

*yells at her stupid dream self for paying attention to a stupid guide book instead of the beautiful dream!!!* ;_; She/I sent the hero away!!! It - >.<

It was something about that alternate ending. About how #1's schtick was supposed to be a monster-tamer sort of guy, these different monsters - each one he beat and put this muzzle on did two things for him - 1, granted some sort of fighting power and 2 allowed teleportation to and from different places. Only - it was very annoying to be reading this guide and 'seeing' things as my memories of playing the game before. Looking at a picture of this beautiful monster and knowing that when he got the muzzle on it it would go ugly. Just, butt-ugly vicious - I don't think those things could be safely removed and I'm wondering now if he wasn't being used or had or something...

It seems like a very un-heroic thing to be doing, you know?

Except that I wasn't going to do that this time, which is why I was so carefully referring to the guide book, to make sure I did everything okay to get him safely on this secondary path - and meanwhile I can also see #2 standing there on screen waiting for me to move, standing just behind the rows of the glittery portal lights. And there was this girl with him, I think might have been the third player's character, but I just wasn't interested in her - it wasn't... it was like, not her time yet. That she would be important and interesting in her own right, but right now was for getting Hero-boy set up.

Somehow, I don't like that I left #2 standing there like that. And I honestly cannot remember if he was un-cursed at this point or not. :/ But it was soo beautiful. One of those you wish could turn around and pick up the dream where it left off.
