Duel 30: Don't Make A Sound
So, the door opens and Jounouchi.

Jounouchi has the biggest :D grin on his face, and is just babbling away: Yeah! We - Are - The - Champions! Bring on Stage Two! We cleared that shooting game without a problem! It was a good warm up, but now we're gonna really kick butt! Right, Yugi?!
Thankfully, cooler heads are present. Or at least ones less likely to forget nearly dying in like ten seconds! x.x
Yugi: I guess, but I still feel nervous! We could've died back there! And I'm sure Kaiba's next game will be even more dangerous!
Honda: Yugi's right. Don't let your guard down! The next game's at the end of this tunnel!
But Anzu has what I feel is a far more important concern for the moment: >:o ! Hold on a minute! Why am I carrying this brat?!
Honda: *mock-innocently resigned* Sorry, Anzu! Johji cries if he's held by anyone else!
Anzu: This is your fault, so shut up!
Johji: *lots of mmm's, a couple hearts, and her name*
In response to which Yugi actually has fire around him, and 'GRRR' and the meanest little >:/ You wouldn't think he could look so mean. Pharaoh, yeah, but Yugi?
Jou: Anyway! No matter what it is, we can beat it!! :D
There follows a panning out that lets us see that Seto is still watching, as they all get sucked in by Jou's enthusiasm and march onward. : Mmeh heh... the fools! Acting so proud because they cleared Death T-1! They have no idea how hard the next game is... But they're starting to look like a worthy enemy. I spent a lot to build this theme park for Yugi... My monument to my revenge... I need to get my money's worth out of him.
A voice apparently on an intercomm, which is shown with double lines, appears in the next panel. Announcing their estimated arrival time in 'Zone Two', which will be five seconds. ...As if he weren't watching them right now and perfectly able to see this for himself. <<;;
However, he is too blissed out in anticipation to object to this stupidity. He's gone solid eyed again and is leaning his cheek on his right hand. : MmHmm... I wonder... How will they do in Death T-2, the "Horror Zone"?
And the last bit of this page is a wide shot of all their reactions. Jounouchi and Anzu have gone solid eyed, while Yugi is kinda hard to tell whether he's wide eyed or not ;p and Honda's eyes have narrowed... and they are all sweat dropping with their mouths hanging open.

I don't see why, it's only a wall that looks like it's made from broken bricks, with various skeleton parts everywhere and the number 2 in blood-writing on a plaque that's hanging from the fanged teeth of a human skull. With what at first looks a graveyard beyond all that. >:D
And! Jounouchi gets his own little close-up with his squashed down, scared face - it's covered in close-set lines, too and the word 'Brrr' and more sweat drops! XD
And, okay, to be fair. It used to be that they could not have gotten me to go into a place like that, and I think even now I would not be happy about it? But it is so, so much fun to pick on Jounouchi I can't stop myself. Wheee! >:)
Jounouchi: What's with the change in scenery? This is creepy! << *transforms self into little bat to lurk over Jou's shoulder* >:)
Honda: Yeah... It sends a chill down your spine! Anyway, let's keep moving!
Yugi: Yup!

Jounouchi goes squashed again XD : I... Uh... I just hate this sort of thing, alright?
A guy who speaks in creeepy font: Welcome to the horror zone...
Jounouchi. Poor, poor Jounouchi. XD Jumps, sort of convulsively hunching over. And screams. And is Dramatically Scared while the old guy cackles. Literally. He has 4 'Cackle' beside him. XD
Guy: *in scary font* Well well... *switches to normal* If this scares you, you won't survive the next ride... *scary font again* Cackle cackle..
Jou: I w-wasn't scared, jerk! You just startled me! ... Yeah. Suuure. This would be so much more believable if he weren't still making that face, and cringing away from the guy. XD !!!
Guy: I will be your guide for the next attraction... Please follow me...
Yugi: Hey! He's the butler from Kaiba's mansion!
Jou: Whoa, you're right!
Guy who shall henceforth be called Butler: *has a YERK* above him* Ahem... ...Now... Step right this way, everyone....
And we get a Dramatic Group shot as they see: spooky voice ~The Scary Ride of Doooom!~ /spooky voice
It looks like a roller coaster ride? Except for the minor detail of the cars being electric chairs, of course. >:D Honda wants to know what's up with the strange car? Of course, this is not Jou's primary concern...
Jou: W... We have to ride this?!! This is a haunted house ride!!
Then. *sigh* While Jou is freaking out and Johji gleefully announces that he gets to ride on Anzu's lap, Honda sweat drops and points out that they have to go along with it, because it's the only way to reach the next game. So they all get in the Ride'o'Doom and are completely shocked when it locks them in via clamps on their arms and legs.
I mean, hello! Have you idiots never seen an electric chair before?! ...Apparently not. Considering that the guy has to explain to them that this is a mini-game of death... << Lemme just repeat that.

XD I love that, it makes me think of old Zelda games. For some odd reason... >>
This mini-game involves not making a sound as they go through the spoooky haunted house ride. Um. The response to this? >:)
Jou: Hey, everyone! Don't make a sound, no matter what!!
Yugi: :O
Anzu: >:o !
Honda: >:O! Jounouchi, you're the one most likely to scream! XD
Then poor Anzu has a slight freak out moment, announcing that she wants to go home. Loudly. Cue Yugi's guilt trip and apology, but then - Johji dramatically announces that he will protect her, and glomps her breast.
*has an EEWWW! moment*
Johji: *thinking* Women fall in love with the guys who protect them on rides like this!
And there is this gorgeous little panel where he and Yugi are glaring at each other, complete with sparks striking in the air between them. XD
Then, the Butler announceswhat anyone with half a brain ...what kind of a moron does?! Ahem. He is doomed, because he is sitting in a fully functional electric chair as well. To make things fair, you know. >.<;;
And so they move forward, with rather predictable faces. Anzu and Honda determined, Yugi scared but determined... and Jou? This confuses me, though I suspect it's just that they didn't consider his thoughts decent to be translated... He has next to him circles and triangles and an odd little face, and squares and wavy lines that point downwards. <<;;;
Butler babbling to himself about his villainous superiority, check. Yugi-tachi becoming increasingly creeped by the nothing, check. Butler pushing a button that causes a mummy who appears to be regurgitating a tentacle monster, wtf?!
Seriously! There is a tentacle protruding thin end first from its mouth! With the thick end actually in and ...I don't know, maybe the monster is supposed to be crawling out of it? Regardless, it is gross and creepy, yet not enough to make anyone scream. Although Jou's thought bubbles have become either louder or more vulgar, judging by the exclamation points. >:)
When that doesn't make them scream, he adds steam blowing on them from their chairs? ...Maybe this is meant to startle them? Surely the little grabby hands that follow the steam are meant to startle them, because I cannot imagine being frightened by that. Tickled, maybe? Laughter would be a sound and therefore just as deadly in this scenario?
But scared by grabby little hands that are wearing Mickey Mouse gloves? Umm, no. XD
But then one of them grab's Anzu's breast. She has Touchy, Feely in the air next to her at this point. >:/
This is the reaction from both Yugi and Johji at this point, Honda and Jou being in the front seats. And this is where the little monster really comes in useful. The first thing was Honda's idea, and he bribed him to boot, but this? .... x.x So he crawls off her lap and starts making his way to the Butler, while Yugi notices and realizes they have to depend on him - he is the only one loose. And Johji's thinking stuff like he will show Anzu his manliness, and he will use his special attack.
*pauses* :x *gives all a moment to think about what a baby might have for a 'special attack' * << Feel free to use this moment to get some thing that will help with the nausea.
So, just as the guy is thinking 'This is the end!' he notices Johji has got in his lap. The kid is freakily kid like, for him, all innocent smiley... except for the word "Doom" in an arc above his head. << >> And then he crawls off, and thinks : Go to hell, baby!
Butler: *thinking* Huh...? I feel something warm on my lap... Th - This smell....
And he looks down. And yes, it actually shows that Johji has umm *picks random euphuism* taken a dump on his lap. Which is both gross and actually rather amusing, considering that it makes him scream and he dies! XD
Yugi, actually? Is impressed. In such a way that I suspect he doesn't realize what Johji did.
And so we come to the end of the ride, and everyone starts talking... and they discover the reason Jounouchi made it. He fainted. Not only that, but when Yugi wakes him up? He screams bloody murder, I mean his mouth could not get any wider, it's like :O only screaming and XD *dies!!* They're all out of the ride and staring up at the huge, spooky haunted mansion! And Jou is still pulling himself out of his seat, and muttering: I can't stand it...
Beneath the full shot of the mansion, Seto has a panel: Mheh heh... Welcome to Death T-2, the Murderer's Mansion......
Duel 31: Murderer's Mansion << Welcome, dear readers, to Yugi's First Supernatural Moment.
Well, in front of his friends.
That he actual babbles about without really thinking about it, because after all, it's only his Grandpa's cards telling him that Sugoroku is in critical condition. It's not like he's killing anyone right in front of them or anything like that. >.<
AUUUGGHH!! What is wrong with you, boy?! *shakes Yugi until Honda stops her or the frustration burns itself out of her system, whichever comes first* !!!
Furthermore? They ask him what he means, and he doesn't even answer, he stares at the cards, apparently in an attempt to channel his reassurances to Grandpa through them. >.< And they don't even bother with getting a reply, they turn around and announce they Must Hurry! For Lo, Yugi Has Spoken!
*has another moment* >.< ! See, while all this is technically well and good, in that they are not really wasting time babbling as might typically happen with a group of heroes? ...Suddenly, Star Wars comes to mind, and Han's 'committee' line to Leia... Yugi-tachi at times appear to be a dictatorship rather than a committee. But really. They are racing ahead to get one psychopath into a fight with another, as if they really believe that this will have any bearing on Grandpa's health and AUGH!!
...Okay, so there's that tiny thing about Yugi's promise and I'm pretty sure that if Sugoroku woke up and found out that Yugi had backed down from Seto's challenge in order to go to the hospital with him? He would be incredibly p'od with the kid. << But still! >.<
So. Story, yes? Yesss. >:pp Yugi-tachi idiots walking into the mansion and shut up, Seto and stop laughing. You can laugh in a minute, k? Yes? Save it for freaking Jou out. <<;;;
So. Take two. They walk into the mansion. Anzu is offering the nicely practical advice that as it is so dark, they should stand still until their eyes adjust. Sadly, we are given no time to appreciate because the door slams shut behind them. And they are all upset about this. << What, was their backup plan to run screaming from the building?! XD
Anzu tries to open it, and announces it is locked. Which really freaks Jou out. He turns back and tries it himself, and of course she's right. ;p
So he stands there, rattling the handles. Jou: Crap! It really is locked! Does anyone have a wire or something? I can open this door with something like that...
Anzu then remarks that Jounouchi has some strange talents, Johji rags Jou for trying to open the door they just came in instead of looking for the exit, Honda backs the kid up and Yugi announces they must look for the way out. Which they do. Completely ignoring the fact that they just had a group 'Jounouchi is an idiot' moment. XD
Within the space of two panels, Yugi has stumbled upon A Clue! (And no, it is not a candlestick) It is a piece of paper with the word 'Bllood' written on, in appropriately creepy blood-writing even! And no, I did not mis-spell that first blood. We'll get to that. What is important for the moment is that Yugi does not recognize this as A Clue, but instead calls it a bad omen. <<;;
Possibly it is not good for me to be typing this out, as it in fact constantly reinforces my opinion that Yugi is an idiot. ...Which is not to call said opinion wrong. Just repetitive.
Story time. I keep forgetting for some reason... *restrains self from being drawn back into the Idiot Rant* As Yugi is staring fearfully at his 'omen', Jou has figured out that there is no exit, and Honda says he'll check upstairs... only to discover there is no 'upstairs'. XD It kills me that Honda actually climbed the stairs, rather than just, I don't know? Looking up, maybe?
And then, a truly hilarious moment. Seto holograms in again - and Jounouchi, well XD'
Jou: *looking up with a sweat drop right by that cut on his cheek* He's floating in thin air! Sadly, we cannot assume Seto is laughing hysterically at this point, because with all of Yugi-tachi present, someone would have said something about that.
Yugi: >:o It's not really him! It's a hologram! << One assumes, as he is not looking at Jou, that he is not really yelling at him either. Or one might. I, however, shall assume that he is annoyed by Jounouchi's duh moment. >:D
Seto: I see you're searching for the exit to this mansion. Have you found it yet? Let me give you a word of warning... if you don't escape soon, something terrible will happen!
We shift to a close-up of Seto's face: Let me tell you why I call this the murderer's mansion... Do you remember what happened last summer? At the camp near Domino Lake? Those terrible murders that had all of Domino cowering in fear...
And shifting again, so that our view is from the hair behind and above Seto - necessary for seeing the shivery scared faces! >:D : Ten boy scouts staying at the camp were murdered... all in one night... Not even a master of puzzles would have been able to assemble those body parts back into a human form... Those boys were mincemeat.
Then, with a nifty hologram of a huge figure holding an axe : After that, the suspect came to be known as 'The Chopman'... He is still at large...
And a long, close-up panel of everyone's scared faces! >:D
Seto: Mmheh heh heh heh.... You've figured it out, haven't you... The chopman is hidden in this mansion!
Except. Judging by the sudden increase of fear on their faces? They hadn't! Beautiful, isn't it? XD And, okay, now my favorite line in this bit, the unofficial motto of Kaiba Corp! *suppresses squee so that she might actually type*
Seto: Cruelty is considered an asset at Kaiba Corporation.... We scouted the chopman to manage this attraction in the theme park of death! Mheh heh heh... So! Will you be able to escape this mansion without running into the chopman?! Ha ha ha ha!
Currently, that same laugh can be heard from somewhere in headspace, too. >:D Wheee, the fun!
Seeing as Yugi has a moment of Transcendent Rage, as signified by the electric darkness background, Seto must stop his laughing. To continuetaunting er, informing them about the game. Yeeess.
Seto: However, I couldn't have you call this game unfair... So I'll give you a hint to find the way out of the mansion! Look at the wall behind you.
Yugi: What the?!?! Four holes in the wall!! There are numbers written above each of the holes! 00-01-10-11 .....?!?!?!
XD I have restrained myself from making a vulgar joke here. I don't know why, but there it is. XD
Seto: There are switches on the other side of that wall. If you press the right switch, the location of the exit will be revealed! Now, gather your courage and put your hands in those holes!
I'm sorry, Seto, their courage fled gibbering while you talking about children being cut into mincemeat. However, I'm sure blind stupidity will make a decent substitute; it always does. ;p
Yugi, by now, seems to have really clued in to the fact that Seto is not a nice person. *very sincere tones* He's actually suspicious about this setup. :o
Seto: What is it, Yugi? *has a tiny 'chuckle' next to him* You'll never get out unless you press the right switch!
And sure enough, they stick their hands in. And gee guess what? It's a guillotine! >:D Bwahaha!
Seto: *evil gleeful smile* Ha ha ha! Now the game begins! Only one of the switches is the real one! If you press the wrong switch, the blade will fall and cut off your hands! You have five minutes before the blade drops! Don't forget! You can only press one switch!
Amidst the group glaring, Yugi : Kaiba, you --
Amid a crackling of static, Seto tells them he has left A Clue hidden somewhere in this room and wishes them luck. And vanishes, leaving them to stress and freak and generally make with the 'We're doomed!'
No, really. It's pretty much repeating what Seto just told them, except - Anzu recognizes that the pattern of the numbers is like binary code. ^^
And then! Yugi remembers his Bad Omen and suddenly realizes it is, in fact -dunDunDUN! - A Clue!!
Which he shares with the others.
Who remark upon the creepy blood font. << .... XD !! Sonothelping. XD
Then, Anzu expresses her faith that Yugi can do this, because he solved the Millennium Puzzle! And so Yugi thinks.
Yugi: *thinkthinkthink* ......
Cheerleading dissolves into panic! Johji yawns! Yugi pictures Seto at his smirkiest! I die laughing!! XD
Then, Yugi remembers that Grandpa is waiting for him, everyone yells as the blade is falling and Yugi yells he's got it, it's Anzu's >.< and the thing stops. Slanted blade, so at its narrowest - Anzu - it was maybe a hand's breadth of space left, and the widest - Jou - I think a foot. Maybe. Yay! There is cheering and swoonyness and even though Anzu is standing with her breasts practically pointing at him, Yugi is too wobbly with relief to care! XD The door out is revealed, and it's a trapdoor. ... << No one seems concerned about this, they must fuss over Yugi. *rolls eyes*
Although. I will give him this. This is maybe the only thing I've seen so far where he seems to have solved it himself, rather than triggering the Puzzle. << First time through reading this, this is when it started to bother me. I mean, okay. It's cheating and I will gladly rant about that, and just as gladly watch him risk his own skin not cheating. However, risking the others is not on.
I don't care if that makes me a hypocrite, either. ;p
Yes, I knoow, story... Yugi gladly explains how he solved this puzzle, because everyone needs the breather - but I will leave it, in case there is ever anyone reading this who might want to figure it out themselves? Also, :p boooring!
Although. There is something disturbing about the fact that I just agreed with little Johji. So begins:
Duel 32 : Chainsaw Deathmatch!!
Johji is conveniently sitting on the floor, yes? As it happens, he was sitting right in front of where the door is! So when the thing creeps open and the glowy looking eyes of the chopman appear, he grabs the brat. >:D
...I think Yugi would have been much more fun to see grabbed, but that's just me? Except that I totally do not really believe that. *smirk*
Drama! Panic! Yugi: :o It might be that "chopman" Kaiba was talking about!!
Whining because the exit actually leads to a serial killer's hideout! << It isn't made clear who said that, but I think it was Honda or Jou. It's definitely Jou who admits to hating Johji's guts, but says they can't leave him with 'that nutcase'. >> As he does not specify, I must ask? Is he referring to the chopman or Seto? ...or for that matter Mokuba?
I mean, the building does contain three separate psychos, there. Four, if you count Pharaoh 'I Don't Feel Like Gaming Today.' XD Rhetorically, is it healthy to be this amused by this stuff?
Moving onward, they climb downstairs whilst pondering on the allegiances of the chopman and the possibility of it being a trap. They follow Johji's cries for help until they find him. Sitting on a brick podium, totally unrestrained.
Yet crying for help, for them to 'Come on baby!' Cue the group >:/
Honda: This has gotta be a trick.
Yugi: I think you're right!
Jounouchi (literally) : ~~~~ .... XD
Honda: >:O Johji! Tell the truth! Is anyone in there with you?
Johji, of course, lies. Jou expresses his disbelief with >:/ frowny and lines and sweat drops included. Johji makes with the extra sugary cute! Jou becomes even more growly and expresses his belief that: 'That brat would betray us in an instant!'
Johji turns around to tell the chopman they aren't coming in.
XD And extra angry growly faces all around! >:D ...Then a TV screen flicks on, and Seto is there... and while it does not specify who said what here? I think we know. Wheee! *spins in chair*
: It's Kaiba!!
: A TV screen! With Kaiba's head!
Seto: What do you think, everyone? Are you enjoying Kaiba Land's games of death?
Johji: Wow! Kaiba! <3 ....Okay, the kid earns a grin for the hero worship. Even if it is a bit stupid. *smirk*
Jounouchi: Kaiba! I don't know where you're hiding - but if you have any guts, come out and talk to us in person! << 'Talk'. Yeah.
Seto: *making with 'the loudmouth does not exist' or so it seems* Mheh heh... Of all games, I like card games the best... But chess is my second favorite... Right now, you are living chess pieces on the giant board that is Kaiba Land! I watch as each move brings me closer to checkmate... and I'm enjoying it immensely.
Yugi: >:o !
Seto: *thumb under his chin and his fingers curled* Now, about the next game... You will play it in here with the chopman! Select one person to enter this room!
Yugi: *thinking* A game with the chopman!
Seto: You can't avoid this game! You don't want to see this child's head cut off, do you? (Here, the chopman picks up Johji, who is shocked! !!) The chopman obeys only my orders! If I say the word, the boy dies!
Johji babbles in shock and disbelief, making Yugi even angrier - for him, not at. I have no idea why, really, it isn't as if Seto were going to tell Johji he was being used. ;p
Yugi: Kaiba, don't you dare touch that kid!
Seto: *half-face shot* Who will step up to play this game?
Honda: %$#@ I'll...
Jou: Wait, Honda! Let me go!
Face-faults all 'round again, someone yells his name, and he marches forward in a disturbingly crab legged fashion. <<;
Jou: That weird-looking little diaper-bag saved our lives more than once! I hate his guts, but I pay what I owe!
Seto: Mheh heh... *thinking, on a black background with white words* With this move, I capture Jounouchi, the knight!
So Jounouchi steps in. The door slams shut behind him, an old castle - prison type piece with a barred window. Everyone else panics. Jou makes his way carefully across what he notes is an oil-slicked floor, to pick up Johji - who slams a handcuff down on his wrist. >.<
Jou: Why you... You little traitor! << -.- Jou. What, were you expecting a hug and promises never to do that again? XD
It turns out that TV Seto appeared in is strapped to the guy's chest.... Think Frankenstein, only with a mask and these really horrible teeth and just ewww >.<
Seto: Now, the game is set!!
Jou: Aarggh! He chained me to the monster!!
Seto: Heh heh.. Allow me to introduce you! This is the Chopman! Said begs to 'cub him ub and Seto tells him no, not until he gives the signal... at the moment I am freaked out by the image of Seto ever-so-patiently talking this - i have no words - but, him, through all of this. Just *shivers* Creepy creepy.
Um. Jou! Jou has his game-face on, that lovely dead serious expression before he really gets going. *bounces* ^^ But also he is thinking! : *thinking* Crud, he looks tough!! ......What, I said he was thinking, not that it was intelligent or nothin' ;p
Seto: *head slightly tilted down, tiniest smile* The rules of the game are simple! After the signal to begin, you each pick a weapon and fight to the death! Your choices are hung from the ceiling. Stand on the podium in the middle to reach them! Be careful not to slip on the oil on the floor!
Johji tells Jou he's there for him - <<; - Honda yells to be careful - no, no one is any help for a bit - and the Chopman gloats.
Then Jou gets his own dramatically lightning filled background while staring at the cuff: *thinking* This can't be real! I have to get this handcuff off... I need some kind of pin or wire to pick the lock!
Seto: Game Start!!
While the Chopman is climbing to pick atoy weapon, Jou is quite rational about his odds in this fight.
Jou: I don't stand a chance against that! Hey! Any of you have some kind of wire?!
Yugi (and you know, he had to jump to reach those bars XD ) : We'll find you something, Jounouchi!!
Jou's eyes go solid watching the thing : *thinking* This guy's too big for a fair fight! It won't matter what weapon I chose! *%$#@ !!! If I don't get this handcuff off, he'll be tossing chunks of me out that door!
Honda: It's no good! We can't find anything!
And then it picks a chainsaw. And the panicky heart stopping chase around the room begins, (and he's still carrying Johji, did I mention that? ) until it thinks to yank on the handcuff's chain - and it almost gets him! Except the chainsaw's teeth get caught in the podium. x.x;;
Johji tells Jou that now is his chance to escape! Jou tells him he is an idiot, what with the still being chained to the Chopman!
Now. Now I must Kill Yugi.
You can tell he's clinging to the bars here because his chin is just above them. : >:o There has to be something! Something with a point! Jounouchi! *close-up on his face, and thinking* Jounouchi... *eyes begin widening* At this rate, Jounouchi will die... *eyes fall shut. cue the Glowy Puzzle of Cheating!!* But. No Pharaoh.
*gasp!* Yugi is inspired to point at a candlestick! Jou is intelligent enough to both use the pointy end of the candlestick to pick the lock and not drop the candle into the oil covered floor! Not only that, he also realizes that this still doesn't get him out of the room with the psychopath. :o !
Luckily, the Puzzle of Cheating has told Yugi what to do about that, too. >:/ Jou shoulda done this himself!! >:p Puzzle!! ....So I have Issues about the Puzzle!! I! Don't! Care!! XD *smashes the Puzzle into bits*

...anyway! Storytime, imagine that? ^^;; Jou goes over and Yugi whispers! *whispery whispery* The Chopman gets his chainsaw free and pulls back hard - only to rip the door out of the wall. It would be a slow motion moment, animated? But manga, there is one panel of a close up of the wall coming out, Jou and Johji tucked safely out of the immediate range on the side -

And the gang walks away as the flames rise up, Jounouchi still carrying Johji and reaching out to turn Yugi, who is half turned as if draw by the fire... train-wreck, you know? And there's a very tiny panel, about the size of a thumb, with what I suspect are meant to be whispers.
Johji: *rubbing at his nose* Thanks, Jounouchi. I mean it. Really.
Jou: >:/ *sweat drop* You little...

Jounouchi has the biggest :D grin on his face, and is just babbling away: Yeah! We - Are - The - Champions! Bring on Stage Two! We cleared that shooting game without a problem! It was a good warm up, but now we're gonna really kick butt! Right, Yugi?!
Thankfully, cooler heads are present. Or at least ones less likely to forget nearly dying in like ten seconds! x.x
Yugi: I guess, but I still feel nervous! We could've died back there! And I'm sure Kaiba's next game will be even more dangerous!
Honda: Yugi's right. Don't let your guard down! The next game's at the end of this tunnel!
But Anzu has what I feel is a far more important concern for the moment: >:o ! Hold on a minute! Why am I carrying this brat?!

In response to which Yugi actually has fire around him, and 'GRRR' and the meanest little >:/ You wouldn't think he could look so mean. Pharaoh, yeah, but Yugi?

There follows a panning out that lets us see that Seto is still watching, as they all get sucked in by Jou's enthusiasm and march onward. : Mmeh heh... the fools! Acting so proud because they cleared Death T-1! They have no idea how hard the next game is... But they're starting to look like a worthy enemy. I spent a lot to build this theme park for Yugi... My monument to my revenge... I need to get my money's worth out of him.
A voice apparently on an intercomm, which is shown with double lines, appears in the next panel. Announcing their estimated arrival time in 'Zone Two', which will be five seconds. ...As if he weren't watching them right now and perfectly able to see this for himself. <<;;
However, he is too blissed out in anticipation to object to this stupidity. He's gone solid eyed again and is leaning his cheek on his right hand. : MmHmm... I wonder... How will they do in Death T-2, the "Horror Zone"?
And the last bit of this page is a wide shot of all their reactions. Jounouchi and Anzu have gone solid eyed, while Yugi is kinda hard to tell whether he's wide eyed or not ;p and Honda's eyes have narrowed... and they are all sweat dropping with their mouths hanging open.

I don't see why, it's only a wall that looks like it's made from broken bricks, with various skeleton parts everywhere and the number 2 in blood-writing on a plaque that's hanging from the fanged teeth of a human skull. With what at first looks a graveyard beyond all that. >:D

And, okay, to be fair. It used to be that they could not have gotten me to go into a place like that, and I think even now I would not be happy about it? But it is so, so much fun to pick on Jounouchi I can't stop myself. Wheee! >:)

Then. *sigh* While Jou is freaking out and Johji gleefully announces that he gets to ride on Anzu's lap, Honda sweat drops and points out that they have to go along with it, because it's the only way to reach the next game. So they all get in the Ride'o'Doom and are completely shocked when it locks them in via clamps on their arms and legs.
I mean, hello! Have you idiots never seen an electric chair before?! ...Apparently not. Considering that the guy has to explain to them that this is a mini-game of death... << Lemme just repeat that.

Then poor Anzu has a slight freak out moment, announcing that she wants to go home. Loudly. Cue Yugi's guilt trip and apology, but then - Johji dramatically announces that he will protect her, and glomps her breast.

Johji: *thinking* Women fall in love with the guys who protect them on rides like this!
And there is this gorgeous little panel where he and Yugi are glaring at each other, complete with sparks striking in the air between them. XD
Then, the Butler announces
And so they move forward, with rather predictable faces. Anzu and Honda determined, Yugi scared but determined... and Jou? This confuses me, though I suspect it's just that they didn't consider his thoughts decent to be translated... He has next to him circles and triangles and an odd little face, and squares and wavy lines that point downwards. <<;;;
Butler babbling to himself about his villainous superiority, check. Yugi-tachi becoming increasingly creeped by the nothing, check. Butler pushing a button that causes a mummy who appears to be regurgitating a tentacle monster, wtf?!
Seriously! There is a tentacle protruding thin end first from its mouth! With the thick end actually in and ...I don't know, maybe the monster is supposed to be crawling out of it? Regardless, it is gross and creepy, yet not enough to make anyone scream. Although Jou's thought bubbles have become either louder or more vulgar, judging by the exclamation points. >:)
When that doesn't make them scream, he adds steam blowing on them from their chairs? ...Maybe this is meant to startle them? Surely the little grabby hands that follow the steam are meant to startle them, because I cannot imagine being frightened by that. Tickled, maybe? Laughter would be a sound and therefore just as deadly in this scenario?
But scared by grabby little hands that are wearing Mickey Mouse gloves? Umm, no. XD
But then one of them grab's Anzu's breast. She has Touchy, Feely in the air next to her at this point. >:/
This is the reaction from both Yugi and Johji at this point, Honda and Jou being in the front seats. And this is where the little monster really comes in useful. The first thing was Honda's idea, and he bribed him to boot, but this? .... x.x So he crawls off her lap and starts making his way to the Butler, while Yugi notices and realizes they have to depend on him - he is the only one loose. And Johji's thinking stuff like he will show Anzu his manliness, and he will use his special attack.
*pauses* :x *gives all a moment to think about what a baby might have for a 'special attack' * << Feel free to use this moment to get some thing that will help with the nausea.
So, just as the guy is thinking 'This is the end!' he notices Johji has got in his lap. The kid is freakily kid like, for him, all innocent smiley... except for the word "Doom" in an arc above his head. << >> And then he crawls off, and thinks : Go to hell, baby!
Butler: *thinking* Huh...? I feel something warm on my lap... Th - This smell....
And he looks down. And yes, it actually shows that Johji has umm *picks random euphuism* taken a dump on his lap. Which is both gross and actually rather amusing, considering that it makes him scream and he dies! XD
Yugi, actually? Is impressed. In such a way that I suspect he doesn't realize what Johji did.
And so we come to the end of the ride, and everyone starts talking... and they discover the reason Jounouchi made it. He fainted. Not only that, but when Yugi wakes him up? He screams bloody murder, I mean his mouth could not get any wider, it's like :O only screaming and XD *dies!!* They're all out of the ride and staring up at the huge, spooky haunted mansion! And Jou is still pulling himself out of his seat, and muttering: I can't stand it...

Duel 31: Murderer's Mansion << Welcome, dear readers, to Yugi's First Supernatural Moment.
Well, in front of his friends.
That he actual babbles about without really thinking about it, because after all, it's only his Grandpa's cards telling him that Sugoroku is in critical condition. It's not like he's killing anyone right in front of them or anything like that. >.<
AUUUGGHH!! What is wrong with you, boy?! *shakes Yugi until Honda stops her or the frustration burns itself out of her system, whichever comes first* !!!
Furthermore? They ask him what he means, and he doesn't even answer, he stares at the cards, apparently in an attempt to channel his reassurances to Grandpa through them. >.< And they don't even bother with getting a reply, they turn around and announce they Must Hurry! For Lo, Yugi Has Spoken!
*has another moment* >.< ! See, while all this is technically well and good, in that they are not really wasting time babbling as might typically happen with a group of heroes? ...Suddenly, Star Wars comes to mind, and Han's 'committee' line to Leia... Yugi-tachi at times appear to be a dictatorship rather than a committee. But really. They are racing ahead to get one psychopath into a fight with another, as if they really believe that this will have any bearing on Grandpa's health and AUGH!!
...Okay, so there's that tiny thing about Yugi's promise and I'm pretty sure that if Sugoroku woke up and found out that Yugi had backed down from Seto's challenge in order to go to the hospital with him? He would be incredibly p'od with the kid. << But still! >.<
So. Story, yes? Yesss. >:pp Yugi-tachi idiots walking into the mansion and shut up, Seto and stop laughing. You can laugh in a minute, k? Yes? Save it for freaking Jou out. <<;;;
So. Take two. They walk into the mansion. Anzu is offering the nicely practical advice that as it is so dark, they should stand still until their eyes adjust. Sadly, we are given no time to appreciate because the door slams shut behind them. And they are all upset about this. << What, was their backup plan to run screaming from the building?! XD
Anzu tries to open it, and announces it is locked. Which really freaks Jou out. He turns back and tries it himself, and of course she's right. ;p
So he stands there, rattling the handles. Jou: Crap! It really is locked! Does anyone have a wire or something? I can open this door with something like that...
Anzu then remarks that Jounouchi has some strange talents, Johji rags Jou for trying to open the door they just came in instead of looking for the exit, Honda backs the kid up and Yugi announces they must look for the way out. Which they do. Completely ignoring the fact that they just had a group 'Jounouchi is an idiot' moment. XD
Within the space of two panels, Yugi has stumbled upon A Clue! (And no, it is not a candlestick) It is a piece of paper with the word 'Bllood' written on, in appropriately creepy blood-writing even! And no, I did not mis-spell that first blood. We'll get to that. What is important for the moment is that Yugi does not recognize this as A Clue, but instead calls it a bad omen. <<;;
Possibly it is not good for me to be typing this out, as it in fact constantly reinforces my opinion that Yugi is an idiot. ...Which is not to call said opinion wrong. Just repetitive.
Story time. I keep forgetting for some reason... *restrains self from being drawn back into the Idiot Rant* As Yugi is staring fearfully at his 'omen', Jou has figured out that there is no exit, and Honda says he'll check upstairs... only to discover there is no 'upstairs'. XD It kills me that Honda actually climbed the stairs, rather than just, I don't know? Looking up, maybe?
And then, a truly hilarious moment. Seto holograms in again - and Jounouchi, well XD'
Jou: *looking up with a sweat drop right by that cut on his cheek* He's floating in thin air! Sadly, we cannot assume Seto is laughing hysterically at this point, because with all of Yugi-tachi present, someone would have said something about that.
Yugi: >:o It's not really him! It's a hologram! << One assumes, as he is not looking at Jou, that he is not really yelling at him either. Or one might. I, however, shall assume that he is annoyed by Jounouchi's duh moment. >:D
Seto: I see you're searching for the exit to this mansion. Have you found it yet? Let me give you a word of warning... if you don't escape soon, something terrible will happen!
We shift to a close-up of Seto's face: Let me tell you why I call this the murderer's mansion... Do you remember what happened last summer? At the camp near Domino Lake? Those terrible murders that had all of Domino cowering in fear...
And shifting again, so that our view is from the hair behind and above Seto - necessary for seeing the shivery scared faces! >:D : Ten boy scouts staying at the camp were murdered... all in one night... Not even a master of puzzles would have been able to assemble those body parts back into a human form... Those boys were mincemeat.
Then, with a nifty hologram of a huge figure holding an axe : After that, the suspect came to be known as 'The Chopman'... He is still at large...
And a long, close-up panel of everyone's scared faces! >:D
Seto: Mmheh heh heh heh.... You've figured it out, haven't you... The chopman is hidden in this mansion!
Except. Judging by the sudden increase of fear on their faces? They hadn't! Beautiful, isn't it? XD And, okay, now my favorite line in this bit, the unofficial motto of Kaiba Corp! *suppresses squee so that she might actually type*
Seto: Cruelty is considered an asset at Kaiba Corporation.... We scouted the chopman to manage this attraction in the theme park of death! Mheh heh heh... So! Will you be able to escape this mansion without running into the chopman?! Ha ha ha ha!
Currently, that same laugh can be heard from somewhere in headspace, too. >:D Wheee, the fun!
Seeing as Yugi has a moment of Transcendent Rage, as signified by the electric darkness background, Seto must stop his laughing. To continue
Seto: However, I couldn't have you call this game unfair... So I'll give you a hint to find the way out of the mansion! Look at the wall behind you.
Yugi: What the?!?! Four holes in the wall!! There are numbers written above each of the holes! 00-01-10-11 .....?!?!?!
XD I have restrained myself from making a vulgar joke here. I don't know why, but there it is. XD
Seto: There are switches on the other side of that wall. If you press the right switch, the location of the exit will be revealed! Now, gather your courage and put your hands in those holes!
I'm sorry, Seto, their courage fled gibbering while you talking about children being cut into mincemeat. However, I'm sure blind stupidity will make a decent substitute; it always does. ;p
Yugi, by now, seems to have really clued in to the fact that Seto is not a nice person. *very sincere tones* He's actually suspicious about this setup. :o

And sure enough, they stick their hands in. And gee guess what? It's a guillotine! >:D Bwahaha!

Amid a crackling of static, Seto tells them he has left A Clue hidden somewhere in this room and wishes them luck. And vanishes, leaving them to stress and freak and generally make with the 'We're doomed!'
No, really. It's pretty much repeating what Seto just told them, except - Anzu recognizes that the pattern of the numbers is like binary code. ^^
And then! Yugi remembers his Bad Omen and suddenly realizes it is, in fact -dunDunDUN! - A Clue!!
Which he shares with the others.
Who remark upon the creepy blood font. << .... XD !! Sonothelping. XD
Then, Anzu expresses her faith that Yugi can do this, because he solved the Millennium Puzzle! And so Yugi thinks.
Yugi: *thinkthinkthink* ......
Cheerleading dissolves into panic! Johji yawns! Yugi pictures Seto at his smirkiest! I die laughing!! XD
Then, Yugi remembers that Grandpa is waiting for him, everyone yells as the blade is falling and Yugi yells he's got it, it's Anzu's >.< and the thing stops. Slanted blade, so at its narrowest - Anzu - it was maybe a hand's breadth of space left, and the widest - Jou - I think a foot. Maybe. Yay! There is cheering and swoonyness and even though Anzu is standing with her breasts practically pointing at him, Yugi is too wobbly with relief to care! XD The door out is revealed, and it's a trapdoor. ... << No one seems concerned about this, they must fuss over Yugi. *rolls eyes*
Although. I will give him this. This is maybe the only thing I've seen so far where he seems to have solved it himself, rather than triggering the Puzzle. << First time through reading this, this is when it started to bother me. I mean, okay. It's cheating and I will gladly rant about that, and just as gladly watch him risk his own skin not cheating. However, risking the others is not on.
I don't care if that makes me a hypocrite, either. ;p
Yes, I knoow, story... Yugi gladly explains how he solved this puzzle, because everyone needs the breather - but I will leave it, in case there is ever anyone reading this who might want to figure it out themselves? Also, :p boooring!

Moving onward, they climb downstairs whilst pondering on the allegiances of the chopman and the possibility of it being a trap. They follow Johji's cries for help until they find him. Sitting on a brick podium, totally unrestrained.
Yet crying for help, for them to 'Come on baby!' Cue the group >:/
Honda: This has gotta be a trick.
Yugi: I think you're right!

Johji, of course, lies. Jou expresses his disbelief with >:/ frowny and lines and sweat drops included. Johji makes with the extra sugary cute! Jou becomes even more growly and expresses his belief that: 'That brat would betray us in an instant!'
Johji turns around to tell the chopman they aren't coming in.

Jou: Wait, Honda! Let me go!
Face-faults all 'round again, someone yells his name, and he marches forward in a disturbingly crab legged fashion. <<;

So Jounouchi steps in. The door slams shut behind him, an old castle - prison type piece with a barred window. Everyone else panics. Jou makes his way carefully across what he notes is an oil-slicked floor, to pick up Johji - who slams a handcuff down on his wrist. >.<
Jou: Why you... You little traitor! << -.- Jou. What, were you expecting a hug and promises never to do that again? XD
It turns out that TV Seto appeared in is strapped to the guy's chest.... Think Frankenstein, only with a mask and these really horrible teeth and just ewww >.<
Seto: Now, the game is set!!
Jou: Aarggh! He chained me to the monster!!
Seto: Heh heh.. Allow me to introduce you! This is the Chopman! Said begs to 'cub him ub and Seto tells him no, not until he gives the signal... at the moment I am freaked out by the image of Seto ever-so-patiently talking this - i have no words - but, him, through all of this. Just *shivers* Creepy creepy.
Um. Jou! Jou has his game-face on, that lovely dead serious expression before he really gets going. *bounces* ^^ But also he is thinking! : *thinking* Crud, he looks tough!! ......What, I said he was thinking, not that it was intelligent or nothin' ;p
Seto: *head slightly tilted down, tiniest smile* The rules of the game are simple! After the signal to begin, you each pick a weapon and fight to the death! Your choices are hung from the ceiling. Stand on the podium in the middle to reach them! Be careful not to slip on the oil on the floor!
Johji tells Jou he's there for him - <<; - Honda yells to be careful - no, no one is any help for a bit - and the Chopman gloats.
Then Jou gets his own dramatically lightning filled background while staring at the cuff: *thinking* This can't be real! I have to get this handcuff off... I need some kind of pin or wire to pick the lock!
Seto: Game Start!!
While the Chopman is climbing to pick a
Jou: I don't stand a chance against that! Hey! Any of you have some kind of wire?!
Yugi (and you know, he had to jump to reach those bars XD ) : We'll find you something, Jounouchi!!
Jou's eyes go solid watching the thing : *thinking* This guy's too big for a fair fight! It won't matter what weapon I chose! *%$#@ !!! If I don't get this handcuff off, he'll be tossing chunks of me out that door!
Honda: It's no good! We can't find anything!
And then it picks a chainsaw. And the panicky heart stopping chase around the room begins, (and he's still carrying Johji, did I mention that? ) until it thinks to yank on the handcuff's chain - and it almost gets him! Except the chainsaw's teeth get caught in the podium. x.x;;
Johji tells Jou that now is his chance to escape! Jou tells him he is an idiot, what with the still being chained to the Chopman!
Now. Now I must Kill Yugi.

*gasp!* Yugi is inspired to point at a candlestick! Jou is intelligent enough to both use the pointy end of the candlestick to pick the lock and not drop the candle into the oil covered floor! Not only that, he also realizes that this still doesn't get him out of the room with the psychopath. :o !

He ducks out with Johji, as the candle hits the floor. Looking back, still with the same expression: Kaiba... When you teamed up with the Chopman... It was a demon's mind with a monster's power! That was a combo made in hell! Too bad it's over now!
And the gang walks away as the flames rise up, Jounouchi still carrying Johji and reaching out to turn Yugi, who is half turned as if draw by the fire... train-wreck, you know? And there's a very tiny panel, about the size of a thumb, with what I suspect are meant to be whispers.
