May. 17th, 2005 09:14 amAfter spending about $90 on getting my car checked up, I guess I should feel a little queasy?
And the windshield wipers were my choice and not absolutely necessary, but.
But. When the guy came into the waiting room and told me what they were doing, he was very polite and calm in what he was saying. And the way he described things was not condescending or overly technical - especially the bit where he asked me if I'd noticed the car not accelerating very well, and maybe running rough around 40 mph and up. Which I had, and which had been worrying me a little - but when Dad or my brother were with me, they said it seemed to be running okay?
Ha.
Haha, and perhaps even viciously maniacal laughter here. Because after they were done with this, listed as 'fuel system' on my receipt, it runs beautifully. That pushing down on the gas that I was doing, to get it started and maintain speed? Nada. I tap the pedal, I have ignition. ~Zoom~
In fact, I'm going to have to watch this until I readjust, otherwise I could quite innocently rear-end somebody.
I fully intend to mock (and maybe question) the abovementioned members of my family about this. Because the only they could have missed this? Would be through a total lack of sensation throughout thier bodies. You'd have to be sitting there anesthetized not to notice how slow it was starting, and afterward? Damn. Pardon my french. ^^;
I would say the happiness of having real ignition again, and the relief at how generally honest and competent these people seemed, outweighs the spending-ouch nicely, yes? ^_^
...hmm. Is it just this entry, or do I sound more... bookish? When I'm happy. <.
