Feb. 27th, 2003 01:37 pmsis is supposed to be home soon; Dad left to pick her up.
i'm so happy! (cries in relief) over all, it hasn't been so bad, but yesterday they decided they'd had enough of Mommy being gone all the time and dediced to express that through rejecting my authority. like, i say do that or do this, Jonathan says 'mmmy mmmommmmy' in this terrible little condescending tone that means 'my mommy would so yell at you if you were here!'
Nathaniel just stares at me with puppy eyes and doesn't move. no matter what.
boy, are they gonna get a shock when she gets home and they find out auntie has become mommy's enforcer. something we discussed beforehand; she's had c-section, she can't be mobile for a little bit, so i am the helper person. :)
(does cartoon voice from looney tunes)duh, i will carry things and cook and stuff! i will wash the laundry and fold it and take good care of it, and call it George!
well, more than i do usually. :0
i know they're upset and they miss thier mommy, but this is just the most recent ad exaggerated case of 'let's ignore auntie', and i can't help but feel better/vindicated that i'm going to have backup now.
and, still working on driver's license and writing/drawing stuff (i can't draw people worth crap, but i think i might have something... talent-ish otherwise. and playing with ink pens is fun.) don't know what i'm doing! augh! so many things/projects/messes that have piled up on me because i've not known what i'm doing for so long.
bleah. i will look up paper arts and wait for sis to come home, and enjoy the quiet while it lasts.
(cringes at the thought of new-baby-crying)
