(no subject)

so, an update on the job-hunting: looks like i'll be able to get a night shift, i just need to fill out another application specifying that i'm available for nights. bleah. should be good, though. (is crossing fingers just in case.)

in other news, i have been making the wierdest things, using what scrap paper i've been able to dig up, and i went googling to see if i could find anything else interesting. and i did.

and i found an art-site, selling stuff online. a giant pineapple. not even a good pineapple! i could draw a prettier pineapple than this thing! it was just like an outline, not even the little scales/ridges/whatever they are called that pineapples have, and it was $40!

this is somehow profoundly annoying. i mean, it sounds stuck up in my own head 'i could do better than that!'...

but i could, darn it!

after i made my post, and went to fill out that stupid second application, i get a call.

it is Lynn from Walmart, same lady i who was personnel manager when i was working there last. (grins)

and she'd been trying to get in touch with me for the past two days! apparently, somehow, i Put The Wrong NUMBER on the application. (kicks self) and she was very pleased to get ahold of me, and i went in for my initial paperwork-interview stuff. during which people i recognized and who remembered me too kept coming by.

end result is i have to get my mandatory drug test tomorrow, and i go in for orientation Saturday at 9:00. i will be having a night shift and be making more than i did the last time i was working there.
