Jun. 15th, 2005 08:00 pmI am in shock, for lo, I managed to get up at about 5:00 today!
Not that this has anything to do with knowing that I had to make it to my used bookstore of choice before they closed at 6:00. >> And I didn't scurry out of the house without a watch or anything, either. 'Pocket-handkerchiefs' pops into my head when I noticed this. Yeah, that sleepy still.
Although the police car with the flashing lights woke me up really quickly - comes up behind me on his way to somewhere, while I'm waiting for my turn, and I'd love to thank the one decent person in the oncoming traffic who pulled aside enough for me to get out of the cop's way there. >.<
And I found what I was looking for, namely:
The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr.Hyde - Robert Louis Stevenson
and also
The Prince - Machiavelli
Watership Down - Richard Adams
None of which I have read before, depsite hearing much of them. >> Yes, fear my literary ignorance! Bwahaha!
*uses the laughter as a distraction by which to go into hiding*
