spoke: spider with a pen on a book (the sun once bitten continues to burn)
Lots of wasted time, but some actual progress on the Yuletide. It is not so much that the story is not there (I think I've mentioned but I'm sleepy and babbly right now anyway) as that it wants to be epic and go in like, 50 directions and gah.

It occurs to me that this is often my problem in writing. Possibly I should take up short stories, for practice in breaking this habit.

But, now there is a beginning! An actual start, instead of floaty disconnected scenes and though I'm wondering where this one bit will go and what the actual point of it all is... um. What was I saying? ^^;;;

In need of change of scenery, possibly from this state but since that's not an option at the moment and I have a bookstore coupon, there will be bookstore trip sometime tonight. Yeah.

*falls over, does not twitch when some kind soul passes by and drops a spill warning sign over the spreading puddle of drool*
