Paranoia Agent : And what is hindsight?

That was perfect. That made as much sense as PA was ever going to make.

It also means I was wrong.

I don't care.

It was still her fault.

Maniwa was only half-right, too - it wasn't just being backed into a corner, it was guilt. People who knew they were responsible for the things that had them backed in, and weren't owning up to it. The student who was trying to blame the other kid for his trouble when he could have been working on his own image - the other writers who were busying gossiping about Tsukiko instead of trying to make thier own creations to outdo her - the %$#@ individual and his daughter - the little weasel who hit the old man - I think I'm missing some, but the ones Lil' Slugger actually attacked, all've backed themselves into thier corners.

It was the Chief's wife remembering what he said to her, and owned up to the fact that she'd been trying to run away. She was the only one who turned around and faced what she was running from, and she was the only one who faced down Lil' Slugger and got away unharmed.

Until she reached the Chief, and got to say goodbye - and he turned around and smashed the whole damn illusion he was trapped in.

Maniwa, I'm not sure what happened to him. The thing there is... he wasn't 'facing reality' in quite the same way as the Chief and his wife, because he didn't look at reality in the same way.

And Tsukiko seemed to be free at the last, only because she admitted she was wrong in saying she was sorry.

Trying to get down first impressions, so I might not be entirely coherent in this. But that rocked!
