A photographic mini-tour! :D

ETA: The pictures didn't take half as long to upload as the commentary attached to them took to write. Yikes XD

Not that they're very large, because I didn't want to kill anyone's connection or anything - the original file sizes were huge! @.@ I think I understand what's doing now, though - I need to go back through the manual and check how to manually adjust some things. ^_^ But for now, 20 pictures from two rounds of figuring out what I was doing!

My computer screen The first shot I took, and thus a must-keep. >> Besides, even though it's not so great? You can still tell what it is, as opposed to 'and this fuzzy blur in the corner is the cheetah. No really!' XD

mmmm, tasty I totally lucked up catching her tounge - didn't even realize it was out until I saw the picture. And squee'd. Eeee tiny kitteh tounge, cute! :D

Dad's plant and my bookshelf I kind of inherited this plant, which Dusky is slowly killing. >.> I keep her giving her cat grass and stuff, but she'd rather eat Dad's plant. x.x The picture itself is weird, because it looked better on the camera. I'm not sure why.

Those are from the first round, and also this really lousy attempt to use the video function. Which I did realize it had when I bought it. *shock* I cringe hearing my voice, though. I mean, I'm using my 'talking to kitty' voice, which I know I pitch higher than normal, because using a specific tone addressed to the cat lets her know I'm talking to her? (Though it doesn't force her to acknowledge this fact - but we both know she hears me! >:P )

But still. Oh my god I sound like an idiot. x.x It's so, so saccharine and I need to cut my tounge out now, augh. XD But not enough so to prevent me sending the 9.mb file to yousendit >.>;;;

I will pounce! ...eventually Dusky continues trying to figure out what I'm doing. I'm being really careful to keep her away from the camera itself, though. The last thing I need is her deciding it's her new toy.

Hey! I haven't pounced yet! Once again, feline patience surpasses that of a human. Another thing I can't figure out is why her eyes are turning out so weird. Pretty, considering she has fire-eyes here - but annoying because I couldn't figure out how to fix it, nor stop it happening in the first place. @.@

My printer, actually. Under all that. But the second point at which I stopped and thought, 'Now that is good! Go me!' :D

the old china cabinet, behind my desk Well, technically it's a table, but it's serving as a desk. The cabinet has my Grandmother's old china. This room is the one we would all come over and have Thanksgiving dinner and things, which feels weird occasionally. I think she'd like Patricia to have the china, but when she'll have someplace safe enough, in terms of both location and the age of the nephews and nieces, I'm not sure...

this is not the Seto you are looking for The Kaiba Seto action figure [livejournal.com profile] shusu gave me for Christmas last year. ^_^ I really could not get this one to come out, so I settled for a much-shrunken version of the blurry one, and then moved him into my room to see if different lighting would help.

This! This is the Seto you are looking for. Too bad he's about to summon Blue Eyes and blast you into oblivion. >:) And how. Look, it's a toy instead of a human shaped blur. XD

bookssss This would be the headboard/bookshelf that Seto is standing on in the previous shot. ^^ ...there is no unmade bed. You see ~nothing.~ *Jedi Mind Trick*

The Desk Which is very much worthy of capitalization, for it is The Desk of Rolltopness - and it just occurred to me I should have rolled it up. XD ...maybe when I get back up! :D

My last birthday present ^_^ I wish this one had come out clearer - going back through these, I can see where I need to work on the patience thing, and retaking shots till I get them right. ^^;

dolly This is my oldest doll, that my Grandma gave me, and the only one I ever really liked. Because her dress was plain instead of Barbie-type frilly, and because it was brown like my hair. Her eyes shut when you lay her down to sleep, too.

lady moon Another shot I need to retake, but it's going to be tricky. The picture is actually some kind of... well darnit. I don't know what it's called. >> But the gold parts are reflective, so she shimmers a bit as you move. Again, this picture looked much better on the camera.

Trevor, Teddy and Sunalarm These are (as captioned) Trevor and Teddy and Sunalarm, going from left to right. (Although anyone from [livejournal.com profile] sphogwartswho doesn't know why the frog is named Trevor will be duly bopped upon the head ;p ) Teddy is just so inventive, yes? ^^ But he's Sunalarm's best friend, and Sunalarm? So many memories. The first Christmas I remember clearly, with his little head sticking up out of the stocking. He's actually a unicorn, but the horn was lost in a genuine running-with-scissors accident, and I was heartbroken. One of the things I may always hold against my Mom is that she promised when it happened that she would fix him, and she never has even though I kept asking all the years since.

The first stories I ever wrote were about him, and Teddy, and a gray Pound Puppy by the name of Charlie who has since been lost. The name was because even then I was not a morning person. He was supposed to tell me when the sun was up.

speaking of Seto Back to more cheerful subjects! This poster was a moment of woot!success, because I had been hunting for it online for awhile before I found one I could get. ^^ Yay persistence!

Herons I bought these because I thought it would go well with the 'lady and the moon' picture, and because seeing it inspired a rather weird poem. At least it was weird to me at the time - since then I've done more like it, although I'm not sure where they're coming from. *shrugs*
*pokes her brain in spite of the shrugging*

the recipe of happiness, duh! :D This I just wanted because, hello - coffeeee!

And finally, a very very sad picture. *nods faux solemnly* Because you see : my treasured coffee cup is empty! :(

Now for the crashing! Even if staying up late is fun. >.> Work tonight! Plans tomorrow! sleep is needed darnit! *convincing herself to step away from the computer*

*puts your eyes back in* It is shiny fan-art! :P *hugs it, for you have hurt its feelings!*

And yes - I am working on this problem. Only not the second post yesterday, because is not giving me my comments! >:P *beats it with a stick*

^_^ I love this place. More than the trailor, not just because I'm alone here but because it's still the same place as when I was little.

Even though I keep telling myself I need to move someday. >.> Such a homebody. ^^;

*shifty eyes*
*builds you a house!* I could! There's how-to software at work! :D
XD I'm sure it's meant for people who have some idea what they're doing, but every time I see one of them I think of some poor moron who's never picked up a saw before buying and trying to build a house and just... XD XD XD

Are you using a flash when photographing Dusky? What you might want to try is shooting her in natural/room lights without the flash. And while she's still interested enough to look directly into the camera! XD

Does she really have odd eyes or is that a light trick?

*kicks lj for not sending comments!*

I have been? I looked through and figured out how to turn that off - but I haven't gotten anything decent yet. x.x; Probably my best shot will be pulling up the blinds in the living room - she hasn't been outside since she was little and I'm afraid she'll run off in JOY and get full of fleas and ticks, never mind the dogs running loose around here. o.o;

I think it's a light trick, but I'm not entirely sure? I remember Dad mentioning something about her eyes being weird-looking, but I've just never looked before. Most of the times I've even noticed have been when they're down to slits from napping in windowsills.

Tried to take another picture just now to see if that could answer it? All that told me is I need more practice taking pictures without flash. XD

But, that practice will have to wait until I get back up, because once again I am up past the bedtime. >.> On a day with plans, no less. I will hate myself in the morning @.@
