What is wrong with people, where they cannot mind their own business? I mean... why do I seem to attract assholes who feel they have the right to tell you everything right down to how you should feel about the state of your life, despite the fact that they know nothing about it? (Okay, aside from that fact that bully = moron, which means they lack the brains to think that a quiet person might not be weak)

And it's one thing when it's a customer and they have to leave eventually, but this was a co-worker. Who harrassed me first while passing by on her own work, and then eventually came through my line to bully me. And I mean bully.

The general unpleasantness was just looking down on me, acting like she was superior - then she uses this phrase: 'Cheer up, it could be worse'

I hate that. I hate that with a bloody passion, because no one ever uses that phrase with real intent to cheer someone up. They say it because they want to hurt people, and smile when they see pain, because they're assholes. Twice in my life, I've had people actually regret that they hurt me, which told me they really were being decent human beings.

This one hit a new low, though. This one told me, in sickeningly superior tones, how she knew it could be worse, because she almost died last year, but God saved her.

Yeah, bitch, God saved you just so you could make an ass of yourself in Wal-Mart. Way to shit on your second chance at life.

But if she's there tonight and tries to start this shit again, I'm walking away from my register and getting management. Since she went out of her way to show she can't control herself.

yes, do *exactly* that. If you can't work with people, you really shouldn't--perhaps she'd prefer a job away from people. Or living ones, at any rate. Pfft. *hug*
