Am I up, or am I asleep and dreaming that I'm up? That's the problem with realistic dreams and knowing I'm sick - I could almost convince myself that I am, in fact, still asleep. :P
Except I finally downloaded a shiny new version of Semagic, and its dictionary, though I haven't tested that yet. I'm just poking about online and wondering if I should really be eating Peeps and jellybeans while sick. The Peeps are a moot point, though, they're all gone.
I am Peepless! :/
And probably all I'm going to accomplish this weekend is lots of sleeping, going to get my oil changed sometime in the morning because it needs it dammit, and trying to read my way through the Everworld series. I like Everworld, it is wierd. Basic premise - the gods of the Old World pack up house and leave, and all is fine in the Retirement Home of the Gods until this alien god shows up who eats other gods. General panic and chaos ensue. :P Four teenagers and one witch (who is also a teenager) get dragged into this, because the witch is a gateway between worlds and some of the gods are thinking ditching Everworld might be a good idea.
I remember getting hooked on these when I didn't have a car, and had to pester Dad for a ride to the bookstore when the next one was due out.
It's a nice use of first person perspective (at least I think) and it's interesting to see how these kids interact, and how each interaction looks to the others, because you know - Davil, who is the most painfully screwed up Issues card-holding of the four, just looks at things differently than April, who is almost Ryo Sanada-type wholesome, to Jalil who is an athetist and a scientist and also OCD, to Christopher who's just... Ivany in a bad way. He's a comedian, he uses humor to avoid thinking, and he doesn't want to an absolute bastard, but if he keeps going the way he is right now... well. I'm on book 6, 'Fear the Fantastic' so watching Christopher dealing with some of his crap right now.
Really wanna take a large blunt instrument to the boy's head about now. >:P
Gah, and now I'm thinking I'm about ready to crash. Again. x.x

*hides behind a wall of Peeps, because, you know, there's nothing evil about thousands of marshmallow birds watching you*
