spokeYou know what part of my stalling on FF12 is? I'm afraid Bhujerba is going to fall, like every other city in the clouds I've seen. (In games, anyway. The original Star Wars doesn't count.)
Okay. What is the heck was that stupid Moogle thinking, choosing a Rocktoise for a pet?! O.o
Also, it is impossible not to notice the ecological theme at this point. What with the non-native predators and the dangerous beasties chosen as pets. :P
Excellent! And horrible! And the Marquis is clearly well versed in playing one side against the other, yay! XD
...this whole time Vaan's been carrying proof-of-bloodline for Ashe?! O.o
This is such a beautifully tangeled mess, and the more I see of Vayne the less I trust him. This does not stop me liking him, mind. ;p
Oh, wow. Larsa is that cool, isn't he?
"I would not have my sons at war... again." Again? What again?! What the heck?!
This is all so beautiful and the ship with gleaming blue corridors like something out of IV. Like hunting for Rosa. ^_^
This round of babble brought to you in the late afternoon as determined by my scehdule. In reality that was the wee hours of the morning. I notice in returning to actually make an entry out of this that the level of squee is nearly incoherent.
What it amounts to is that while Princess Ashe and her followers try to figure out how to restore her to her throne and sovereignty to Dalmasca? Vayne looks to be setting himself up to seize power in the Empire. His father claims not to be able to see into the heart of his son, but he's concerned for the safety of the younger son, Larsa - which suggests he sees more than he really wants to acknowledge. There's the conflict between the twins, who are survivors of another country crushed by the Empire, the thing with Vayne has to have roots running througout the Empire or he's a fool, and in the midst of this we've got our happy little sky pirates and street rat adventurers!
Poor Balthier is so totally a Setzer, or Han Solo. He keeps thinking he's going to walk away from this. I don't believe Ashe actually bribed him with the treasures of an ancient king. Various muses and one in particular are quite pleased that we're going on a tomb-robbing expedition. ;p
And I don't quite trust Vossler. It's just... how did he show up there when they left no word as to where they were going? The bloody ship has a cloaking device, there should have been no clue.
St. Augustine was... really fun. It was a beautiful night, warm enough not to even need a jacket and comfortably crowded. I got a lot of exercise heading off in the wrong direction at first? ;p It felt eeriely like San Francisco at one point, walking past a lot of little hotels. Didn't really do anything except window shop and enjoy the atmosphere - except stopping in this little handmade candy store. Handmade. Candies. And icecream, of which I had a scoop. Peppermint! And I bought a bag of saltwater taffy.
This is important, because the stuff you buy in stores? Or at least, any that I've ever bought in stores? Yuck. I have a bag of real, delicious saltwater taffy, and I've been craving that forever. ^_^ Not letting myself have more than one or two pieces a day, though, it was $6 and the bag is not that big. ...I don't care! mmm, taffy. Almost as good as chocolate and so much harder to find.
Other things of importance, let's see... oh! ;p Shiny presents from Shusu! eee, I have a Sesshomaru! I will love him and hug him and call him Fluffy, and make Seto pretend to be Inuyasha, and have little arguments between them! XD And gorgeous pictures of winter, one of which is my new desktop. There are animal footprints! In snow! snowsnowsnow ^___^

And a neat little notebook, which at first I thought was a purse. But then at first I thought there was glass in here somewhere - that something was made of glass. I have no idea where that idea came from, but that's what I was thinking, so. :P
And Katamari Damacy. Which will be the first thing I play once I'm done with FF12. I've heard of this game? But I don't know what to think. It looks strange... *pokes it*
Also on the to-do list: Another trip to St. Augustine, to take pictures in the daylight. That will need to be another weekend, probably next weekend, so that I can sleep in afterwards without worrying about work.
We have an Egyptian exhibit! I must go see this. Must
There's at least one movie in theaters that I hope I remember to go see while it's still in the theater - Night at the Museum. I have seen the trailer for this too many times, and it looks fun. Other things I'll want to see aren't even out yet - Spiderman 3, the next Harry Potter. I have seen trailers for the next HP and it stopped me dead in my tracks. Of course, said trailer contained Snape, so that was bound to happen. ;p
But right now, there are goals I will achieve, even if I don't manage everything I wanted to this weekeend.
ETA: I keep forgetting to mention this. But, once I get other things out of the way, I'm going back to my NaNo to keep at it until the rough draft is done. Once that's done, I'm going to go back through and make a journal for it, for purposes of sharing and hopefully constructive critiscism? And so on through every story that belongs in the same universe, before I even think about trying to get anything published. I need to have the world down before it goes anywhere.
ETA the Second: Katamari Damacy is the shiniest pure crack since Yu-Gi-Oh, and I keep imagining the King's voice as Pegasus's. XD But it bizzarely cute and fun and clearly going to be addictive. I'm making stars! Stars made out of stuff, like my first one made out of snacks and games and stationary. How utterly appropriate! :D
And you can go to a spot to look up at the night sky you're building. ^.^
...just, you know. Don't screw up or the demented King will insult you. Admist the lightning and the thunder and the pouring rain. O.o;
