It turns out the mystery bird was a chicken! And belonged to people my brother sort of knows? The whole thing felt rather awkward, but at least the poor bird is back where it belongs.

You know, where it will probably eventually be eaten anyway, as it is a chicken. >.>


The wing was an attack by 'something'. They weren't sure what, and around here that could be a stray dog, cat, hawks we see sometimes (hence my uncertainty what I had) or maybe even an opossum.

Now. Sleep. Hopefully breaking this streak of not being able to fall asleep until after 1:00 in the afternoon - two days in a row, now. wth.

pssst - Shusu! Sometime between yesterday and the 27th, something very shiny should show up? I would just not mention anything and leave it to be a surprise... but then I'm not sure how long it would take to be discovered.
