A very late start to drabblevember! But I have mono, so I am allowed to be late. And sleep a lot. And be achey and miserable often without sleeps. :(
So, in order of writing (over the past two days, but I didn't want to post until I caught up.)
1. Kingdom Hearts, Xigbar and Shan-Yu. Because I always thought he'd have got on with the Huns like it's a party. >:D
Shan-Yu does not have sorcerers in his army. Most of them accept this and leave; he executes those who do not.
When he tries to kill this one, he twists around the sword as if he were nothing more than the haze rising off a fire. This close, he can see the man’s grin pulling at a rather impressive scar. More disturbing is the eye, sharp and golden as his own.
He steps back warily, intrigued. “You claim to have something of interest to me, sorcerer?”
He shrugs. A dozen little monsters appear around him. “Care for a demonstration?”
2. Kingdom Hearts, Castle guards, brief mention of Lea and by allusion Isa.
They’re not split up on guard duty often, but sometimes it happens. In the routine of these days, it‘s usually Aeleus who trudges into the break room and sits down.
It is Dilan who looks up and pushes over a cup of tea, waiting quietly to hear about the latest attempt at sneaking by thier resident pests.
Nothing could really prepare Aeleus for Dilan entering with a snarl on his face and stalking over to make tea without a word to him. He turns, about to speak - and sees the charring on Dilan’s dreads.
“Lea has an affinity for fire.”
3. Kingdom Hearts! You are surprised, yes/yes? :D Also used for #244 on kh_drabble.
It is only a lab. Securely buried in the depths of the castle, safe from interruption.
Although he sometimes frowns at Even’s increasingly violent moods. He’s taken to shielding young Ienzo from them. Something is growing in the atmosphere, as if the Darkness they study is seeping into the very walls. He can see no harm in protecting the boy. There is little enough compassion in any of them, now.
It was only a lab, he corrects himself one day as finds Even about to actually strike Ienzo. Now it is wild as any forest, and they are the wolves.
4. Echo Bazaar - A most intriguing game, delicious friends
It’s a muted echo of the bazaars above ground, but no less interesting for that. The candles everywhere certainly add thier own distinctive stink to it. I was seriously bored that day, though. Damned Vake as elusive as ever, and nothing to follow it by.
Then I noticed the stall with the ...pets. Some of ‘em you could call pets anyway. I’m not commenting on the others. And this tiny sorrow-spider, couldn’t have been more than a year old...
Damned if I know what drove me to buy it. It’s awfully useful when people don’t want to talk, though.
5. Yulechat fic! No, srsly. I like Grues! :D
Lurking in the corners, watching them. Warm delicious beings made of tasty flesh! It reaches forward with trembling claws, only to stumble back hissing from the light.
Hateful burning-warmth! Why does it protect the delicious chatters?
It crawls through the cluttered corners and forgotten passageways, searching for those who have strayed too close to the dark. Soon it smells the delicious scent of one plotting to torture thier characters for another’s amusement - perfect. It crouches, sidles closer, looking for the opening that it will allow it to fall, to feast...
A lantern is lit as it begins to spring!
I picture them as something like Stitch from Lilo and Stitch. Only more likely to eat people. :D But then I also thought Jumba breaking down laughing over Stitch's impending mayhem was kind of awesome. I just got no particularly malicious vibe off Jumba - he just... likes blowing shit up? XD

Date: 2010-11-11 01:28 pm (UTC)And I like Jumba, esp. after listening to his list of Stitch's 'destructive programming'. Back up sewers, reverse street signs, and steal everybody's left shoe?
Those are pranks with destructive outcomes. But still pranks. :P
