Hello, Not_Primetime Writer! Sadly, this is but a placeholder entry at the moment. Letter soon! :/ Now with actual letter?
I am so sorry it took this long.
Things that I like: alternate timelines, crossovers, bad guys having fun and occasionally even winning! Plotty thinking stories, slice-of-life... just about anything really, except:
Mpreg is squicky. I cannot really think that any of the fandoms I choose would lead to that, but it is worth mentioning just in case it is a thing you like and might want to use. Which is cool, and I don't want to sound judgmental or anything. It's just a thing that I don't like.
1. Sherlock! Um Spoiler warning if you're not all caught up?
eeee, just about anything. I only recently got into this and it's all new and shiny and insane. I love - Sherlock (whom I honestly view as being asexual) and his disconnect - the way he says or does horrible things that really feed into the end of season two's debacle, and just. Doesn't get it. And looks to Watson for like, human-checks. It is terrible and wonderful and real to me.
I love John for being infinitely patient with the insanity that his life has become and Sherlock driving off all his girlfriends and the inevitable tabloid speculations about his love life! I love him for realizing that Sherlock had experimented on him in Hounds and not really flipping his shit about it, because honestly. It's Sherlock.
...I love him for crying at Sherlock's grave, and really wanted to punch Sherlock at that point.
I love Moriarty for being smarter than Sherlock, in a twisted hard-edged practical way. I love him for being the guy who sees a choice between jumping through 10 hoops for the joy of the problem, and walking across the street - and walking across the damn street. And knowing that Sherlock would go for the hoops and complain they weren't twisty enough, and using that against him.
I also mentioned Moran, mostly because I have always had this picture of him being the counterpart/partner to Moriarty as Watson is to Holmes, and I really have to wonder what kind of a man could function like that around this particular version of him. And survive, because this one is that dangerously unstable that I imagine it being an achievement all by itself.
And Mrs. Hudson is a bloody saint. <3
2. Final Fantasy XII - No, really, I love this world. I could spend all day wandering around the different enviroments, esp. Giza in the Rains. So, um, pirates on missions? I love Balthier and his attitude, so cultured even when he is essentially saying 'bring it'. I love his insistence that he doesn't have any apprentice - he doesn't, either, Vaan doesn't pay attention well enough to count. ;) Maybe when he is a bit older and past the over-excited puppylike enthusiasm.
I love Fran and her elegance and remoteness, and her issues with the Wood and her sisters. I love the Viera period, though I really wish they'd pay more attention to the outside. That isolationist attitude makes me afraid for them.
For that matter, I love the Garif and their Hunts and their encounters with Adrammalech, who is my favorite of the Espers. I would totally read a story about random OC Garif hunting in the tunnels and realizing something is seriously wrong down there. <3
3. Leverage - caperfic? :D No, really, anything. I love Nate for being a screwed up control freak. A basically good-hearted control freak, but still. Issues, he has them! Not that anybody on that crew is issue-free, but I kind of identify with Nate, so his issues hit me a little harder than the others.
And frequently lead to me wanting to slap the daylights out of him. :P
Also because of that, I love Sophie (do we know her real name yet?! I ought to get to watching the rest of Season Four) and the way she handles things in regards to that. I love her and Eliot talking about the possibility of him crashing on them!
Really I love all of the team, though, so anything you do will be awesome. :)
Last couple of things: I realize that I babbled more about one of these fandoms than the others, but No Pressure, okay? I love all of them equally, it's just that first fandom is new and easier to babble about.
Also I am very sleepy right now, so. No matter what else, have fun! If you enjoy writing it, I will enjoy reading it. <3
