I have decided that my inability to find places is not, in fact, my fault.
It's just that there are far too many roads in this town. <<
>> Okay, the problem here is that if I tried to say that to anyone I wouldn't be able to keep a straight face. It would look more like this one: XD
So, I got up early. 3 in the afternoon. Not the crack of dawn for me, but bad. Left at 4. And of course, I got lost again, despite having found the mall yesterday.
But I only drove for an hour and a half before I caved and pulled over to call Dad! And, when he couldn't help me, I stopped everytime I was getting lost again and asked total strangers for directions. << Which is something i've always been afraid of, i'm a lot more talkative to total strangers online than in person. ^^;
I was still an hour late to the cashier meeting. Fortunately, although that lost me the overtime (I think. :( ) the supervisor/overlord type person giving this one was an actual person, one I know. ^^ I used to work with Miss (Mrs?) Verna a few years back, when I first worked at this Wal-Mart, and she knows I'm good about these things, so it was cool.
It was almost worth it, though, when she ended the meeting by asking if anyone had a problem, and I raised my hand and said "I got lost on my way back here and I was in Clay County at one point. Does that count?"
I hadn't told her why I was late, yet, you see. I just came in and started listening. :p
So, once the meeting was over I called Dad to let him know what had happened, and stuff. And found out that while I thought the mall closed at 6 or 7, it turns out it closes at 9.
9! What did I get up at 3 for? Nothing! Nothing, nothing, nothing, that's what! And I was so upset while I was driving, too, it could've been that time for all anyone could have guessed from my expression. >.<
So I decided, screw it, I still don't have my coffee, I'm taking another stab at this. Also, I have the wierdest feeling that if I make it out there, I will be able to find Breath of Fire 3. Older video game that I loved very much, which my then-jerk of a little brother decided to pawn without telling me. *throttles*
Well... ^_^
Coffee of the day in the Barnies that I had not visited in forever: a mixed thing they were calling a Turtle. And.... *drumrolls* BoF 3!!!
JOY!
I love when hunches like that pan out, I love it! ^_^
I go now, to spend... oh, probably the rest of the night playing my game!
