damnit! trying to do this comic thing has filled my mind with humor crack! luckykitty! the plotbunnies are into it! BlackRose , you're the first person to give me the idea of bunnies doing crack! before that, my plotbunnies were calm, peaceful little things, that would only bite if i touched them!

therefore, i hold you both responsible!

the bunnies grabbed this idea last night, but i had to wait until now to post it. (whimpers) you try getting to sleep with a head full of bouncing kittens and drugged rabbits! i'd rather have chibis! i have nephews, i can glare chibis into submission! (eventually...)


the Missing Kao Kitten Icons!

waking up= related to the awake kitten, this one would have its eyes shut, both little paws feeling around for the cup. when it finds it and takes a drink, its eyes pop open and it smiles. (this is me)

victory= kitten holding a trophy over its head, maybe smiling, maybe bouncing. (this is me, recovering from a case of tunnel vision in which i imagine that some machine, like a video game or the paint program, is deliberately not co-operating) (rather than the reality, in which i've missed something obvious, like the skew function in paint)

pleading= kitten with its paws together and sad eyes.

for saying happy birthday= kitten with a candled cake in front of it, and it blows the candles out. (gee, i wonder...)

cooking= kitten has a pan with its handle in one paw, spatula or spoon in another; it's moving the spoon and fumes are coming up from the pan. (this and others, i can't imagine. but some people multi-task)

cleaning= kitten with a duster! or rag, wiping at the area in front of it

researching= kitten holding a book in its paws, flipping the pages.

researching online= kitten is moving a mouse about, clicking. then its eyes bug out, as it gets far too many results, half of which are not useful. (or discovers some thing it rather never have known, due to careless typing)

gaming= kitten with a video game pad, pushing buttons. after a second, it would either become elated, or throw down the game pad. (who, me? take out my frustration on an innocent piece of equipment? noo. shakes head)

editing/rewriting/stuff like that= kitten shredding a piece of paper

clean= kitten with sparkling rays coming from it (because i saw one for dirty, but not for clean. maybe i missed it, though.)

shy= kitten turns its head while holding paws in front of its face (because my younger nephew Jonathan does this.)

embarrassed= kitten with blushing cheeks, swirling one paw on the 'ground' in front of it. one paw, because they have no toes.

pms-ing= kitten has really angry symbols on top of its head, bouncing around. then is weepy. then is happy. then has angry letters while happy. then has happy smile and sad eyes. etc, etc. (is this one even possible?)

stargazing= kitten with a little telescope, looking up.(touma) (and akiko, for a couple of responses to a post i made)

sympathetic= kitten looking sad, then holding out a heart, maybe. or a lollipop? some kind of gift for the sad person. (when posting because you feel sad for someone, and want everyone to go and comfort them.)

packing= kitten taping up a brown box (because BlackRose mentioned moving.)

concentrating= kitten with a serious expression, biting its lip. (i do this. doesn't everyone?)

lazy= kitten lying on its side, perhaps on a couch. (where i'd rather be)

immature= kitten with a pouty/upset face, paws folded. (okay, i'm not sure of how that one would work, either. how could you tell if its arms were crossed?)

i've got to go= yellow kitten with its paws held together and down. (do i need to say anything?)

shhh!= mommy or daddy kitten, holding a little swadled baby kitten, closed eyes. (because my sister is expecting)

help! chibis!= regular kitten with minis encirling it (also because of sis) (and the evil of chibis in general)

don't call me!= kitten with really angry symbols, yelling into a cell phone (because my dad was bitching about that) (not angry, more like a complaint couched in joking, but hey! an inspiration!)

eating= kitten holding a piece of fruit, taking a bite out of it. or eating off a plate. (hey, if you want people to know you have coffee, why not that you're eating) (warning: i have a fork in my mouth. making me laugh could cause bodily injury)

selfish= kitten hugging an object to it. angry looking, so you know not to touch. (mine! mine! mine!)

learning= kitten looking at a peice of paper, confused look. after a moment, it would get the lightbulb symbol. (for feeling optimistic, or trying to) (maybe a seperate one for frustrated with learning, where it throws down the paper and jumps up and down on it)

take this thing off my hands= kitten holding up a small bunny. a pink bunny, oddly enough. (why? i don't know... ) (whistles)

overwhelmed by ideas= kitten is calm, then starts looking upset as one by one, tiny pink bunnies drop out of the sky, covering the kitten (shifty eyes)

peaceful dreams kitten= kitten has thought bubble with tiny moons and fishes and an oyster that opens to reveal a pearl. little seasonal referances swirl around it. (llamajoy)

buttkickin dreams= kitten with tiny symbols that look like gf's, and beads in different colors, and a bird perched on its shoulder. (tenshi no korin )

evil lotr kitty= kitten is holding a tiny gold ring in one hand, while bubbles that suggest obscene happenings behind it float by (keelywolfe )

teasing offended= kitten with a lego person in hand, glaring mischievously. (darthhellokitty, whom i haven't even talked to that much yet, but the lego porn was her post, darnit!) (i didn't even look at the stuff, i just sat there thinking 'ew! lego porn? ew! squicky!' and then i was playing Megaman Legends and thinking Megaman looks like a Lego person...)

holding on= kitten hugging an Achika plushie. for a story that will get written, i just need to get my feet under me, writing-wise. (shusu )

evil plotting= kitten who is bent over the keyboard typing, looking over its shoulder ever few seconds.

organizing= kitten with pages with pages encirling it, with roman numerals on them. (iferion ) (also jennifer something, also gail riordan; because i first ran into her work at the Master and Apprentice archive, and was muchly inspired to keep working on my story poems)

overwhelmed in general= kitten is surrounded by rising water, very upset

challenge= kitten holding up a bulletin sheet, with little lines and such

intrepid= kitten with safari hat and backpack

freaking out= kitten is cowering away from a corner of the screen.

spooky= kitten has a little cauldron, throws things in, looking sneay. then the cauldron dissolves into a little stream of bats, while the kitten laughs.

destructive= kitten is throwing things


i just thought of a challenge! (nod nod nod) guess which of these imaginary kittens is the one i would be using for this post! (because that's reeeally difficult.)

i know some of these are emotions that already exist, and some are sentimental gushiness. but darn it, i want these kittens. i'd use some of these, really. does anyone know if the person who made the orignal kittens would do some of these?

and if so, any suggestions/emotions i missed? 'cause i will ask, if pointed in the right direction.

edit= on this because i typed this up last night. right now, i'm going with my sister and her boys to the zoo.
