And now the Yuletide gets really panic-y

Seriously wtf: I have labored over this thing and struggled and angsted, and got nowhere because this one scene would not work.

As soon as I drop that scene and approach it from a different angle? 2997 words and counting! I thought I had got to the end, surely one or two scenes more? It keeps spilling out, just ever so much better than it had been and I might actually be proud of having written this but the deadline!

Question, if anyone reads this who's had teeth pulled: All four wisdom teeth, in my case, are due to be pulled tomorrow. I'm sure tomorrow is a lost cause, but the day after? The 18th? Does anyone have a clue if I will be up for anything by then? And by anything I mean writing?

I don't even know how I'm going to react to the pain meds the dentist gives me. This is really worrying me.

To the good: I have a Christmas tree! A decent live one, I mean. Scottish pine! So now my house smells delightfully Christmasy. I plan to decorate it while recouping from the dentist! Yeah. >.>

ETA: 3151 words. Cannot write this scene when I'm dropping off, can only leave myself little notes. Wish me luck for when I wake up? x.x

Can you turn in something that can stand on its own, but has more to it? Or must it be fully completed, no teasing, by whatever the deadline is? And: If what they need to give you is/is as strong as Tylenol w/codeine, you might want a couple days? Because you might be mostly sleeping^^
